What, so you think everyone that comes on this forum is as unintelligent as most of the people you probably represent eh? That they can't distinguish between the serious and the not so serious posts?

Again I think you do the gentleman in question a dis-service by assuming that. And if he did decide to take the attitude you describe, it would say as much about him and his company as almost everything you post says about you - you pompous twat!!!

So what protection do people have, if something goes wrong? Is there no way that people can lose money? What if your company goes bust?

Why don't you provide details on your website, and details of yourselves/company under the "about us" - would then enable, as some of us like to do, to make further enquiries where we have concerns. With due respect, we are unlikely to call you to ask you about your trustworthiness.

sportoptions - These guys have 20 years under their belts, so it doesn't matter whether they take payment over the phone or not.

Maybe you should consider that the website is people's maybe first (and last) impression of you, and if conveys an air of untrustworthiness, then it's up to you to do something about it.

Your offer I think is a fair one, and I hope that 5 fans can take advantage of it. But you still have to sort out your "shop window", otherwise more people will be steering clear. Especially these days when travel companies are regularly going tits up.

if i was christie and could prove the flight offers were genuine and thought potential defendants had the wherewithal to pay compensation i would take the matter further.

if as a moderator you have responsibility for censoring serious defamatory allegations eg that could damage a business, and if i was website owner i would sack you immediately for unbelievable incompetence.

Bullshitter, I asked a lawyer mate of mine to look at this thread and he just laughed. No court in the world would entertain a law suit based on a (for all intents and purposes) anonymous personal opinion posted on a public access forum. The party being discussed has been allowed to respond to said allegations without asking for the offending material to be removed and without prejudice from the owners of the forum and thus any judge would just laugh it right back in your face.
