BIRMINGHAM THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Oh! yes and slag off hleb (aka: the cornetto cunta  ) from his hole to his pole! :D :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:
Yeah why not ?!?! let's chant the names of all the players who've been n gone (ie those not on the pitch on Sat), typical for a few of our so called Gooners eh?

That'll get the players going (the reverse effect of a library!)

Oh and the names of players of other clubs who have done us - yeah why not - "oh what an atmosphere, i love a party with a happy atmosphere..."

Jeezzz !

I want us gooners (all the North bak) cheering "arsenal, arsenal, arsenal..." "come on you red..." etc etc at EVERY BLxxdy corner, instead of every other.
REALLY GET BEHIND THE LADS - soooo sick of the quiet voices (apart from block6 of course).

I say lets have a campaign to switch so called north bankers who just like soaking up the so called atmosphere (just being amongst 'our end') to another part of the stadium and get the other singers scattered around the ground in!

Thus just like the 10k or so north bank noise (yep - compared to now!) we could have a noise of say 14k that actually gives us guaranteed points in a season - i LIFTS our players!

I think giving Hleb a bit of grief as well as appreciating Eduardo isn't out of place, but only as it doesn't override the support of the team. A cpl of Eduardo songs will be sung by myself, but I will be getting behind the boys and cheering on to hopefully a victory!

BTW anyone fancy a pint or two pre-game? Gunners Pub?

A reason not to be cheerful ahead of Saturday:

Martin Atkinson will referee Arsenal's Premier League match against Birmingham on Saturday, less than a month after Gunners boss Arsene Wenger was fined £8,000 and banned from the touchline for one game for an altercation with the official during his side's draw at Sunderland

Yes, and the same Martin Atkinson who thought that Nigel De Jong's challenge was not worthy of a free kick, and who gave one of the softest spot kick awards going at the weekend. Looks like we can all look forward to Birmingham players kicking the shit out of our players without a card in sight this Saturday

What happened to ref's being demoted after a bad game - does that indicate the FA thought he did OK at Eastlands ???

Excuses aside this is a game we have to win and win well. All the players need to man up and put in 100% effort. Sounds like a reasonable request but sadly our players do not see every game as a must win match. If they feel like it on the day they might turn up, maybe they wont who knows.

I try to keep the positive comments to a low. That way I don’t get as annoyed. This method is tried and tested and it doesn’t work.

I'm travelling over for this one on my own. Couple in the Twelve Pins, couple in the Gunners and a couple in the ground pre match if anyone fancies meeting up. Not sure about afterwards but I'm going to see Killing Joke in Hammersmith on Sat night.

I'd be up for either Gunners or Pins, is there an early kick off on Saturday?

Cesc and Theo back in the squad. We'll win this 2-0.
