That's assuming we aren't playing L'pool in the Europa league.
I would honestly not give a fuck if we went out tonight, if we didn't have to play in the Europa League.
And I will justify exit from the clge thus.
1. We won't win it anyway
2. It will hit the club financially. This is the only thing the board care about, so maybe Wenger would come under scrutiny. As a lack of trophies doesn't seem to be an issue with his employers.
3. It would bring embarrassment on Wenger and maybe just maybe knock some of the arrogance out of the man. (but i doubt it I'm sure he would find someone or something else to blame)![]()

And I guess if we do get Barca we'll get knocked out and can focus on retaining our lead at the top of the table![]()

Sad maybe stupid I disagree, this isn't simply my agenda, sad because it seems that this Manager will be judged by this board, on a financial results basis rather than a footballing one, and sadly if a clge exit is the only way to get the board to acknowledge that something is wrong, then that would be a sacrafice that may yield future dividends.
Sycisid,.
If coming on here and calling me "lowlife" is the only way you can make your point, then I would suggest that you fuck off, I don't as a rule get involved in childish name calling on the forum.
I will however in your case make an exception, as from reading your posts over the last 18 months I feel it is the only form of debate that you understand. You are without doubt a complete fucking halfwit, who has never made a post on this forum with any substance whatsoever.
Sids views are sad but far from stupid!
End of the day the only way anything will ever change is if we fail miserably in the champion’s league. The Champions league is lucrative business and it’s more important for the board and probably Wenger to do qualify every year and get past the group stages than it is to sign strong players and win the fucking league. (which we could do if only Wenger wasn’t a *word censored*)
If it wasn’t for channel 5 Europa then I would like us to get smashed tonight. Then maybe even suffer 6 month injuries to Kos, squillaci, Bendtner, denilson, Vela, Clichy, Flappy and RVP just so that we can sign some players and hopefully give Wenger a kick up the arse so he is exposed as a weak minded fool that he is.
Yes were 1st at the moment but Blackburn are 8th and 4 wins away from us, and Sunderland/Bolton who are 7 points adrift of Chelsea. Were 1st due to other teams being shite and the fact that said teams are only minimal points away from the so called top 4 is a joke.
We have to play Manure, Stoke at home Chavs at home and Wigan away. Lets see how we are in the league after those 4 games. I bet that gap at the top gets smaller and smaller.

Barcelona.............If we want to win this thing then we'll probably have to beat them anyway. If we did beat them then it would give us more confidence. If we didn't beat them we'd be able to focus on two other tournaments still and not go down AW's route of getting knocked out of the FA cup by playing a weak team all because we have a CL game midweek.
I remember this happening on a couple of occasions previously only for us to get knocked out of the CL as well thus fucking up two tournaments in 4 days.

It doesn't really matter because we will win tonight but if going out tonight meant we would take the league then by fuck there is only one winner in that situation.
And what I will say is those underestimating either German side are sadly lacking any knowledge of German football. In simple terms they are doing badly in their league but their league is as fair with regards refereeing and money as it comes. Imagine Blackpool were spending some of the money City have spent, you get the picture.
Schalke beat Bayern last weekend but are 17th in their league. They topped their group ahead of Lyon for a reason, they are a very good side, and if what is on here is anything to go by they are the sort of side our club will be arrogant towards thinking we will breeze through and sadly will be our downfall.

Isn't hoping for an easy draw what Ing-er-land do at every World Cup?? Just before they play Brazil / Germany / Portugal and get stuffed by a better prepared and technically stronger team!!
If Arsene had the sense to assemble a decent defence, we wouldn't need to fear anyone - because our front 6 is as good as anything in the World but our back 5 can make Accrington Stanley look like a competent side.
Any half decent and well disciplined side will expose our defensive weaknesses and we've all known that since Anfield 2008!!

draw has already been sorted
assuming we come 2nd in group it will be schalke - if negotiations have not gone too well it could at pinch be munich - not i believe in conspiracies or corruption
schalke would be best trip having done others inc munich in feb which must have been coldest ever at football.

All well and good Sid but even if we lost tonight we will probably go through any way because in my opinion Braga wont win away tonight. Of course I may be wrong in my Braga prediction thoughgoonersid wrote:We will get Real, and once again Jose will kick the incompetent Wenger's sorry ass.

I remember that one!! We lost 3-1 and it was sooooooooo f**king cold - don't think it ever got above -5 degrees. I'm pretty sure it reached -10degrees during the evening.rolypoly wrote:draw has already been sorted

Unbelievable that anyone could play footie in that and even more unbelievable that anyone would travel to Munich to watch footie in that!!
My view on Real is I have seen them a number of times this season and I believe the midfield is where a game of this sort will be won. Real have a better defence then ever with Jose, but they are still weak when it comes to fast passing. They have also at times, struggled to score.
It reminds me of Inter a few years ago, Jose was in charge, good players, doing well in Seria A, but not fully there, United turned them over 2 nil. Not saying we would win it, but I could certainly see it being very close.
