What utter bollocks. For someone who claims to know a lot about football your arguments sound remarkably similar to the idiots we all work with who get their "knowledge" from listening to Andy Gray and reading The Sun. World Class means a genuinely great player, regardless of his contemporaries. To consider that Berbatov could be thought of in the same way as great players is a joke.

You want to name a theoretical squad of 24 players? Let's assume that you would 6-7 forwards in it. Can you honestly argue that Berbatov would get in it in front of any of the following? - Ronaldinho, Henry, Eto'o, Messi, Van Nistelrooy, Raul, Klose, Rooney, Owen, Drogba, Tevez, Ibrahimovic (okay, I may be stretching it with Ibrahimovic).

Please now realise that Berbatov is NOT WORLD CLASS and move on to something else. Why are you lauding a Spurs player anyway? If he was World Class he wouldn't be playing for them anyway.

I think the "would they make a squad of 27" is a good way but it is still subject to opinion and bias towards countrymen, club and big names so obviously isn't perfect while less spots for keepers then strikers. Or should it be limited to the best 11 in the world?

No, I am not the font of all knowledge, and neither are you. Congratulations on your 40 years of football watching - perhaps you should get a gold watch or an MBE.

I have watched Arsenal since my Dad took me at 3 years old in 1982 - so I am not a Premier League "fan" either. As far as I am concerned your opinion on this subject is wrong, you think the same about mine. However, that doesn't mean I have to disagree with everything you say on here, despite your childish musing on another thread.
