As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Brilliant, that's my anti-social text message sorted for the night then.

not if I don't grass him first
I am just sick to death of the idiots on here who think it’s right to start jumping all over someone who dares abuse the team or club.
People have different opinions , will always be the same. I have learnt to respect other peoples views.
I take a step back and listen to peoples arguments regarding wenger and the team. If you love him fair enough, I wont start jumping over posts and abusing people.
Its ALWAYS THE SAME the rose tinters are always the ones to start off these arguments. All they do is wind people up.
We have always struggled with Everton at home in the last 3/4 seasons. I know the players will have to turn up but lets hope the fans do as well. Our next two games are crucial if we want to realistically push for the title, two games which we should win but in the past have come unstuck.

Most people are fairly angry about today, if we end up fucking up tomorrow then it would be a fairly nasty atmosphere.
I don't know any real people who are 'fairly angry', and I know a lot of Gooners - Yesterday I had the normal e mails and messages around Carling Cup tickets, where we are meeting tonight, Torres, Carroll etc and nobody has even mentioned how 'angry' they are.
This forum has the ability to really distort what 'most' people are thinking, as the most rabid keyboard warriors have the ability to convince others what their opinions should be. I appreciate it is more difficlut to judge the mood when you are detached from the match going fans, and perhaps your only form of reference is this forum, but I assure you, I am not angry, I am looking forward to a vital league game and a trip to Wembley, etc.
I think we should probably have bought a centre half, but some of the 'justification' on here is just mental ; because Squillachi is suspended? FOR ONE GAME!
Kyle Bartley has gone on loan, and was apparently our 'best reserve', and it deserved the 'head banging' emoticon. FFS.
I'm sure the clique will get stuck in, and label me a rosetinter or a super fan or whatever, but I really could not give less of a shit.
This forum is an embarassment of negativity considering how well we are doing on four fronts this season.
Personally I think is rubbish, I respect your position but don't act like you speak for all match going fans.
If you seen the atmosphere at the Leeds game you would know what I'm on about.
The players were taking abuse left right and centre, people were giving Bendtner the wanker sign when he ventured near the touchline, and Arshavin etc.
You are living in cloud cuckoo land! No surprise because so are the I love Wenger clan as well!

Exactly right I.G
Also the amount of fights and arguments I have seen at Arsenal this season has been a joke. Gooners arguing with each other regarding the abuse of Wenger and certain players. There is a big divide both on the net and at the games.
Like i say i have never seen it like this. Maybe beofre my time in early 80's but not like this.
Ive been going since 1991 but never seen the unrest like i do now
With a forum unlike face to face debate you will get really dominant views said in a very over the top way. When I read posts calling Wenger a "c**t" I usaully do rubbish most of the post. At least face to face most people can appear rational then you can either see someone elses view point or just agree to disagree.

Exactly right. I have seen a few rose tinter forum members in the pubs at Arsenal and had a drink with them. One thing I will say is that every single one has slowly started to change there views.

For me if everyone had the same views at football it wouldnt be the same. The guy who sits next to me is definitely more anti Wenger than me but we can still have a good debate, without needing to call the other a c**t.

I started on this forum in 2007 and I would say there was probably only one member who was solidly criticising AW (Augie, take a bow son) gradually over those years many of us have turned from AKs to rabid loons (aka realists) every tranfer window like yesterday's adds a new crop, every failure in a competition that we could have won with just a little strengthening, some more come over, every deluded comment like "the best squad ever".....
This forum never started out as anti Wenger it has just grown that way out of total frustration.
Not going tonight and not been to that many home games in the league this season...the filth game was the last one.
Got 2 children under 3 so I can't always go but I will happily chose an away game over a home game any day.
At home, the atmosphere is shite, the singing is minimal and believe me I've tried. Nearly got into a fight with some wanker gooner/tourist who decided to leave early last season because we were losing.
Our fans are shit at home, always have been but it's getting worse and sometimes I don't blame them as it almost looks like the team are taking the piss out of us.
Anyway, think we'll scrape a draw from this unless he puts Arshavin,Barry and his Brazilizan lovechild in from the start, in which case Gollum will go back up to scouseland a happy man after an easy win.

Many other places are negative also though mate. The Herd forum is equally as angry and negative.
Face book pages show how angry and negative people are feeling. I know some real well known fans that would of laughed 10-15 years ago of the thought of selling there seasons tickets back on a match by match basis. Or deciding not to buy any Arsenal merchandise just because they are fed up with the how the club is running.
While some people are happy many are not and I haven’t seen so much discomfort at arsenal for a long time.
I do agree that on this site there are many keyboard warriors that inflate the negativity by some degree all on the match day thread at home.
However I am not a keyboard warrior, I only post when I am at work and I also will be there tonight. Though I am angry with what’s going on and I know plenty like me.
No matter what I will carry on going, but I don’t know how much more I can take. If we finish in top 4 loose the league to defensive errors and suffer more loss to the team (i.e. cesc going) and no replacement then I will have to weigh up my options with my season ticket.
Its even harder that my season ticket is in block 6 and the real fans around me keep disappearing and idiots in there place.
I think both of you make good points. My support of Wenger is waning as I've been hacked off with some of the decisions that he has recently made and I've given him until the end of the season to rectify some of his faults. It is interesting to hear another perspective rather than the usual 'One Arsene Wenger,' and I do agree with certain faults that the manager has made and after a few years of being patient with the lack of spending to get the debt down I think this is the time to start spending on the team as we're close to having a very strong squad that can challenge on all fronts and it just requires a bit of tweaking and I understand the frustration of certain posters and I personally have found it hard to 'Keep The Faith' with the fear of deja vu from last season and in 07/08. However the level of insults at people who disagree with you and calling the manager a c**t is bit ridiculous imo, I've been guilty of it on a couple of occasions (I do think on one occasion, though, it was justified considering that poster's nonsense had put me off being a regular on here for a while) and I do think people need to chill out and just remember that we're all gooners here but some of us have different opinions
Fair enough point, and certainly one several fans I seen at THE EMR could listen too. I must say I fine it amazing to sit at the home games(only been to 6 since Highbury) and see the amount of people leave early.
The recntly away games have been really good this season, and it seems more are willing to travel then in preivous seaosn.
When I was younger we use to visit arsenal one week at home, then travel to see WHU, Leytom Orient, Charlton the next week..
Fun days and you could stand for £2 then>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
