Wojciech Szczesny

for the messi 1 on 1s and alves chance near the end

tend to think almunia would have panicked and taken them down

chesney hed his ground well

we have a keeper!

Would of been a disaster had he actually left, strange to think a injury to arsenal player was the best thing that could happened. Next season he should finally have the number 1 shirt when the clown leaves and I hope he has it for the next 10 years and onwards

Is he a better keeper now than he was 3 months ago when Wenger picked one clown to replace another clown? No he isnt but only Wenger couldnt see it.Does anyone think that if Clown number 1 and 2 hadnt been injured Szczesny would be in goal now?.Remember Wenger said all FOUR  of the keepers at the club was world class.Szczesny is rightly our number 1 now more by luck than Wengers judgement

"You had to withstand some real pressure at the end, that must have been the most nerve wracking 5 mins of your life?"

"I was calm, I wasn't nervous at all... They never really looked like scoring"
  :bowing21:

Also, on the subject of keepers... James Shea went out on emergency loan to Southampton today, so our current keeper order goes Szczesny > Almunia > Emilio Martinez :?

Did anyone hear the interview on BBC Radio London last night with Bob Wilson? He said that before the Man City game he was talking to Given & Hart, they both asked about Chesney and what was he like. Bob said that he sung his praises. Chesney apparently walked in just as the conversation had finished and Given & Hart were leaving the room, Bob told Chesney that they were both asking after him to which Chesney replied "Did you tell them how good I am". The kid is certainlt cchallenging Barry Bender in the ego stakes but unlike BB, appears to have the talent to back it up 8)

oh yeah the boys got attitude and confidence.so the best thing to do then is get on his back for being an overbaring c--t like bender .this kids got the juice to back it up.heres another quote from a radio interview ,goes summink like this ."well ches its seems the loan spell at brentford was good for you."no" sez ches,""I WAS GOOD FOR BRENTFORD".
by common consent 85% of a keepers game is confidencein your own ability, not bravado and bullshit .he is the goalie equivelant of wrightyand a new darling in the making.

The lad wants to be careful, piss enough people off on the way up, that leaves a lot looking at you to fail. When it goes against him they will be looking for him...
Needs to reign it in a little.

Never reign it in if he's got it. Seen some of the best young cricketers ruined by coaches and captains trying to reign in their ego's.
Yes he can't step over the line, but jest at that tw*t missing a pen is perfectly acceptable
