Win the League, or resign.
problem with certain members of the current squad (and aw) is that they have far too much to say to the media without ever backing up their comments on the pitch, where it mattersGunnersaurus wrote:I don't think its a losers mentality more a victim mentality, half the time they probably don't even think they play badly or let us down, instead they probably genuinely feel they have been hard done by.skipper wrote:
.........Wenger has obviously installed losers mentality in this set of players and chances are very thinh that it will change in next few weeks.
the expectations were much lower in aw's early years and together with his, then, innovative winning playing-style and refreshing/purist approach to financing on-field success he exceeded those expectations season after season until 03/04's pl.
the side were clearly in a backward transition during the following 2 seasons, however, the fa cup win in 04/05 (when we were outpayed by man.u) and the "kind draws" in our road to the cl final in 05/06 "papered over the cracks".
the best thing they can do for us fans, right now, is say f**k-all to the press between now and the end of the season, focus their efforts and energies 100% on each pl match as they come along (like the invincibles did) and prove they are mentally strong by winning the title. if they can do that, they'll have something to talk to the press about rather than continually making excuses

imo, both rm & juve sides had "seen better days". additionally, our failures, since then, to look like we'd reach another cl final is why it's clear afc were in decline after 03/04Bring Back Pires wrote:I wouldn't say that Real Madrid (with Ronaldo, Zidane, Beckham and the rest), and Juventus (who won Serie A the same season we played them) were "kind draws".n6gooner wrote:"kind draws" in our road to the cl final in 05/06 "papered over the cracks".
weren't juve stripped of the title and relegated after being found guilty in the "match-fixing" scandal?Bring Back Pires wrote:I wouldn't say that Real Madrid (with Ronaldo, Zidane, Beckham and the rest), and Juventus (who won Serie A the same season we played them) were "kind draws".n6gooner wrote:"kind draws" in our road to the cl final in 05/06 "papered over the cracks".

Yes, but that doesn't change the fact that they were the best team in Italy that season, because they still won more games than any other.n6gooner wrote:weren't juve stripped of the title and relegated after being found guilty in the "match-fixing" scandal?Bring Back Pires wrote:I wouldn't say that Real Madrid (with Ronaldo, Zidane, Beckham and the rest), and Juventus (who won Serie A the same season we played them) were "kind draws".n6gooner wrote:"kind draws" in our road to the cl final in 05/06 "papered over the cracks".
there's no doubt that it's a statistical fact juve got the most points that season but there will be some, especially in italy, that will question the validity of results they achievedBring Back Pires wrote:Yes, but that doesn't change the fact that they were the best team in Italy that season, because they still won more games than any other.n6gooner wrote:weren't juve stripped of the title and relegated after being found guilty in the "match-fixing" scandal?Bring Back Pires wrote:I wouldn't say that Real Madrid (with Ronaldo, Zidane, Beckham and the rest), and Juventus (who won Serie A the same season we played them) were "kind draws".n6gooner wrote:"kind draws" in our road to the cl final in 05/06 "papered over the cracks".

Save yourself neither will happen.skipper wrote:Let's make this as simple and as clear as possible. This is not a overreaction, just a sober and rational thought.
Arsene Wenger should win League for Arsenal this season or he should do an honorable thing and resign in May.
There simply isn't any more time to wait or any more room for excuses. This really should be his last chance.
His footballing philosophy has run its course.
We need a change.
