The way to get their attention

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

It might be worth starting a new thread so the idea is put across from the first post, rather than on the 3rd page here?

We need a banner, and a song to start with. Can't see a mass walk out working.

it would be no.1 of as many walk-outs as it takes but to get it off the ground we need to get the numbers up. sufficient fans guarantees their attention if the club believe it won't just"fizzle out".

phone-ins, banners, protests outside the ground, etc are all well and good but only take you so far. the threat of on-going, organised and specifically focussed demos (silent or otherwise) would concern them far more

What is the protest about? -

New manager?

Spend more on players?

Teach defence in training?

Any protest has to have a clear target and a clear aim.

If it is to encourage more spending on players and teaching defence then it has a point, because "Wenger Out" will be seen as a crank protest.

In the ground is best place, because the TV cameras are rolling and the board and manager and players will see it.

Mass walk out? Enough people arrive and leave early to make that of dubious effectiveness :D

It's the line-up vs West Brom. Do you fancy a game?

Ah ok, reckon it's better to do so at an away game like WBA? TBH I'm quite surprised by frankbutcher's assessment that the away schemers are the most pro-Wenger of anyone, the chant of 'One Arsene Wenger,' at away games seems to be much quieter this season as gone on :?

Really? It was sung by the majority at least twice yesterday.

the message can be "thrashed out" by way of popular opinion/debate once it's established there's sufficient support for the vehicle by which the board's attention can best be attracted. if there are sufficient numbers all getting up and leaving at the same time (after notice is given to the press, etc.) it will have been effective, especially if it's the first of how ever many it takes

5,000 would have to be a minimum and a good start. the idea is about taking some sort of action instead of continuing to complain amongst each other, to no effect

I think the first step may be a banner outside the car park entrance. With a banner long enough to block the entrance and everyone behind it.

A mass walk out will take a lot more planning, mainly because were all in different blocks on here so will just look we've all popped to get a hot dog.
