Thing is, this doesn't mean the end for terrorism does it? Because he could easily be replaced by an even bigger terrorist as the leader of al-Qaeda.
It's the al-Qaeda group that needs to be dismantled and destroyed.

The quick burial at sea was because it is Islamic tradition to bury the dead within 24 hours and Saudi Arabia refused to take the body apparently. The yanks like to be seen to respect Islam and also don't want a place of pilgrimage for Jihadists.
Good riddance to bad shit.

Yes there is conspiracy IMO!
And even if they like to be seen to respect Islam they don't. I thought our way of working was to send these kind of criminal in internationnal court? But of course it was far easier to get ridd of the c*nt and make sure he never talks about his links with CIA for example.
Don't mistake me, I'm glad he got caught and got some kind of judgment. As I said in a previous post, I have plenty of respect for the USA, I'm french and atheist so I just try to be objective on the situation.
Even though I totally support the war against terrorism, I just think it's not always fought in the best way.
In this case I just wish Ben-Laden was caught, judged, incarcarated and specially interrogated, so that we could understand how it happened, how he conducted his attack, and make sure something like 9/11 never ever happened again.

Agreed fully - killing one man will never stop terrorism, and our vigilance and determination not to let these bastards engage in these cowardly is needed going forward MORE THAN EVER.

Give it a rest slag. I think Yankee went a bit far but he was reacting emotionally to something that is still very painful for Americans.
I agree that some reactions were over-the-top in terms of celebrating killing someone(singing "We Are the Champions" ffs -give me a break) . However I also believe Americans have every right to be glad that justice was actually done in this instance, and feel some satisfaction and relief that was the case, even if it is not always pleasant to see..or to feel.
Save the bigger geo-political justice issue for another time and place - It needs to be heard, but not in this instance.

I don't believe a word of the story the U.S are feeding us...as usual it's a pre prepared story designed to make them look like heroes
Does anyone really believe that they couldn't have found Bin Laden in the last ten years if they had really wanted to and does anyone believe that a 6 ft 5 arab with entourage and fuss, as recognisable as Bin Laden wouldn't have been noticed at some point anywhere he went in that region..
Do people not think it's a bit strange that he was 'hiding' in a very noticeable mansion just a few miles from a U.S special forces base and numerous Pakistani army bases...
I think it far more likely the U.S decided his usefulness as the bogey man figure has passed and it was time to use his death for a bit of heroic propaganda...
Don't anyone kid themselves that this is some sort of end to the 'war' on terror i'm sure soon enough a new bogey man, who of course will be a danger to the whole free world, will be created by the masters of propaganda at the pentagon....Then he can be used as an excuse for more military spending and more wars, which of course will most definitely not in reality have anything to do with oil or other resources definitely definitely not

Whilst celebrating the Arsenal victory over Manchester United yesterday, it was perhaps a little unwise of Bin Laden to rush out into his yard shouting " COME ON YOU GUNNERS!"

Got a few texts today... Too far?!
You can come out now Maddy, you win!
President Bush tried, and failed.
President Clinton tried, and failed.
President Obama tried, and succeeded.
The moral of this is...
If you want someone dead, hire a black man...
