West Ham rejects

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

IF Cesc stays, then signing Parker would be a good acquisition and give more competition for places - as midfield options of Song, Cesc, Wilshere, Ramsey, Diaby and Parker would be pretty decent (yes, I'm assuming Denilson fucks off! )

BUT...

IF Cesc goes, and Parker is the only midfielder signed, then there should be a bleedin' riot!

Green would be okay as reserve goalkeeper... but NOT first choice!!!

The rest aren't good enough.

First up would be Parker. I just feel it makes sense in a lots of ways. The English backbone and energy and would compliment Jack in the midfield.

However, knowing Wenger and we've been linked in the past Green would be up for grabs.
He was also keen on C.Cole as a front man.
We've also in the past transfer windows been linked to re-signing Upson.
Fair enough Parker but if we are looking for a leader in the midfield why not bring in PV4? Contract is up, he'll play same amount of games as Parker would and he knows how to win cups and leagues. Hasn't Parker featured for 3 teams relegated from the Prem?
Green could be good if he can raise his game consistently. Will he be brilliant for us as he normally is against us.
Surely we should be shopping at the top end of the market, not the basement.

Spot-on. After all as we keep getting told year after year the money is available to spend....
