Champions League Qualifiers

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Dynamo Kiev, Rubin Kazan, Udinese and Panathanaikos are all decent sides. We're a team who have recently struggled against lower league teams, and if Turnip fucks about not strengthening the team and getting things done, you never know.

i want a trip out of this, im hoping anyone but Trabzonspor, Rubin Kazan and that Romanian team! wont mind Kiev, as ive not been, and its something unique! if its Panathinkios, and flights are under £230, then i'llgo out there! Liege i went before, and loved it and would love to go again!

kazan can fuck off, thats bloody miles away
Kazan makes Moscow look close......only when I looked it up on google that I realised how massive Russia is!!!
That would not be a good trip for the players, but for fans is possible with just 1 change in Moscow.

I´d choose Panathinaikos.
Is Gilberto still there?
That's going to be rge draw, I just know it. As much as it would be such a shame not to go through, I think we will. But whether actually anything changes, I know not.

It's a oil hellhole, been there in the early 90's. It was the bloody wild east Russian style.....! You needed vodka just to stay alive each day. As for those Russian Dolls... :o :) :)

Would love to go Kiev, Pana are definitely top of my list though. Sweet ground, slightly moody fans, nice city, yes please. Drunk in some bar with a few of their fans when we went to Olympiakos - mentalists.

I am fairly sure that we should have lost to Odense early on in the cup winners cup run of 93 or 94 they had a blatent penalty turned down at Highbury that would have put us out if memory serves me correct.

That's on a par with saying that Harold Shipman was a slightly dishonest doctor, or that Wayne Rooney is a slightly ugly twat

They are fucking lunatics out there

All fun & games though if you're sensible, what's a few coins, bottles or batteries here & there? Been warned off going to games in Italy, Greece, Poland, Turkey but have had fucking great trips every time & met plenty of friendly opposition fans.

Much rather go to places like that where the UEFA corporate machine hasn't quite got a grip on things the way it does in Western Europe...
