my second youngest niece was born months early they told my bro she had very little chance to make it as her lungs had not grown properly yet or something, and would almost certainly have disabilities, she was so small i was scared to hold her when she came out of hospital, but she is nearly in her teens now and she has had no side effects from being too born early - hope everything turns out the same in this caseaugie wrote:There is a young couple from my village who had their 1st child a few weeks back and the baby was 2 or 3 months premature and weighed about the same as a bag of sugarPleased to say that the baby is progressing nicely now and while it is still early days it is still encouraging all the same.
Anyway I know that this has nought to do with you buddy but am just making the point that the strength of recovery babies show sometimes is little short of amazing and hopefully number 4 will show that as well. I will indeed say a prayer for the little guy and for you and your family and hopefully everything will be fine

Well actually, this now being my 4th son, it has invigourated my love for the game of soccer.
4 of them plus me equals my very own 5 a-side football team. I can see us down the power league in 15 years time. 5 shirts with Harrington on the back, mine with the No 5.

This little one's lungs may not be up to much but if Neil Ruddock can make it as a pro footballer, he's a fair chance.

In other news, his recovery is well on the way. Still in the NICU but he's out of the incubator, and all the tubes have been taken out.
Most likely a syndrome called transient tachypnea of the newborn which affects around 1% of births. Spuddy, I'd be interested to know if your Mrs has any tips or suggestions, I imagine it's something she has a fair amount of experience with.
Again, I'm just sending out amazing gratitude to all you fantastic people.

All appears to be going really well at the moment.
Little dude came home on Tuesday and since then it's been a case of catching as much sleep as possible and trying to return my body clock to a state of normalcy.
I'm also on the school run for the first extended period in a while.
Those fucking mums, they're animals at them school gates.
