McLintock and GG...

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

The thing that always sickened me about the GG bung thing was that Fergusmoan, Venables and Cloughy all did the same thing. Fergy was actually caught red handed but had been tipped off and gave the money to the club before he was exposed. EVERY manager in the game in those days took a bung of some sort, it was accepted as the done thing once you weren't caught. But poor old GG was the only one punished. :banghead:

Have to say it was great watching McLintock being so passionate about The Arsenal - the man still lives and breathes the club. Legend. 8)

Liked his suggestion of bring in GG as a defensive coach. GG would sort out that defence in no time. Of course it will never ever happen because Wenger is too arrogant to accept help when it so fucking clearly needed. :banghead:

Mclintock is an Arsenal legend. Just the way he calls us "The Arsenal" shows his emotion for the club. George does as well but is better at hiding his feelings(I think he perfected that while he managed the scum).
George will always be a Gooner legend, but the way he left and managing that mob will always go against him.
Both Wenger and Graham should have legendary status, although both have fallen from grace in many Arsenal fans' eyes.
Shame really.
