OXLADE-CHAMBERLAIN

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Tidied.

Disgrace that he wasn't even on the bench against the scum. Wenger Out!

That Gk was at fault for the second and third.
I'm surprised Arsene hasn't put a bid in already.

I haven't seen/heard these comments but, as Hlebby said, maybe you're taking them out of context?

Was he REALLY saying he was focusing on England U21s instead of Arsenal??

I find that hard to believe, to be honest mate. Surely you're mistaken?

I think I'd like a link to these damning quotes.

As others have said since my initial post, the question was put to him about making the step up to full international status and he responded by saying that he is just concentrating on the under 21's - I know it might seem slightly harsh but for me the answer you come up with in that situation is that "first and foremost I need to concentrate on establishing myself in Arsenal's first team and then hopefully full international football will follow". How any gobshite can ask him a question like that when he hasnt even played a full 90 minutes in the prem league yet is beyond me and thats why I feel that an answer along the lines of what I stated above would maybe ease the unrealistic bullshit expectations that are sure to come the kids way

Ok, I see where you're coming from but lets not forget this lad was only 17 until a couple of months ago, so he's still a kid.

I think it's beyond harsh to be catching the lad out on such a trivial detail, as I'd imagine he was merely answering a question about international football so his answer focused on international football, and he was probably just meaning he would concentrate on the U21s before thinking about stepping up to the first team.

I just think there's absolutely nothing to it whatsoever, and needlessly negative. The lad got a hat trick and that's great. 8)

you miserable bugger

Looks a real player, regardless of opposition he can take players on either side, cross and shoot, every Gooner should be happy he's doing well, he will rid us of that clown Walcott.

Stop looking for reasons to be miserable, we have a gem here, try and enjoy it as its so easy to concentrate and get wound up by the shit at the club.
