Are the ast ever going to do anything to actually benifit us fans?
Although its great to keep some shares in the fans pockets, as has already been mentioned the fanshare scheme seems to have hit a bit of a brick wall.
But Im also of the opnion that the fanshare scheme, really doesnt benifit 99% of our fans, who arent interested in buying part of the club, they want their general experience of going to watch the club improved.
No matter how many shares the ast aquire, to me its just a gesture by the club, to in essence keep certain heat off their back. And to give a perception that the fans are involved in the club. But when it boils down to it, the club will do what they want anyway.

Right - enough is enough. USMartin has been banned.
Whilst I have no issue with his views (everyone is entitled to them), the manner in which he puts them across is, in my opinion, unnecessarily aggressive and despite a warning to curb this, which I thought had been taken on board, he has persisted on this thread.
If any of the mods want to tidy up this thread by deleting some of the posts which had nothing to do with the original topic, then feel free.
Incidentally, I'm a member of the AST and of Fanshare. As I said above, whilst everyone is entitled to their opinion, I wonder how many of us would be willing to give up so much of their time for such a cause. The hours which went into getting Fanshare off the ground would last most people's lifetimes and I therefore think some of the criticism is incredibly unfair.
Its very easy to sit behind a keyboard and moan about this, that and the other. Perhaps those that do would find it far more rewarding if they got off their backsides and actually tried to do something positive.
Mike

I'll take a look at this thread again in the morning and tidy it up as it is a very valid thread (The AST bit).
I'd like to thank Mike for his prompt action on this. Martin was warned time and again and we (the mods and Admin) bent over backwards to try and get him to stop his troll-like behaviour. Banning is always a last resort on here but sometimes it has to happen for the good of the forum.

Can't be £10m. Even if they were all on £50k per week that would make £7.5m per annum with us paying all their wages.Number 5 wrote:I have a question going back to page 1.![]()
Players out on loan like Bendtner, Denilson, and Vela will cost club £10 mill a year.
How does that work? Are we paying all their wages while they are gone? I always thought there was a loan fee paid by the other club too.
Makes no sense.

Agreed - In all fairness, I have called Babatunde on his financials / calculations before but let's not let maths get in the way of a good arguementfrankbutcher wrote:Can't be £10m. For the figure to be £10m, the cost would be roughly £200k per week combined. So rough guess work.....I Hate Hleb wrote:Maybe the total includes other players out on loan? And from what I remember reading - although I wouldn't swear on it - I think the figure came from Gazidis himself.
Bendtner - £50k
Denilson - £50k
Vela - £35k
Lansbury - £25k
Joel Campbell - £20k
Kyle Bartley - £20k
James Shea - £15k
Pedro Botelho - £15k
Wellington - £15k
Samuel Galindo - £15k
Total - £260k............
Pure guess-work, I know, but surely even on those numbers, Clubs would be paying more than £60k towards their wages.
Total BS IMO.
Yeah but how? It's not like those guys are Crespo when he went to Chelsea on 100k per week and they had no choice but to pay half his wages when they loaned him out.I Hate Hleb wrote:Maybe the total includes other players out on loan? And from what I remember reading - although I wouldn't swear on it - I think the figure came from Gazidis himself.
I just don't get how the sum could be that vast. I'm not even disputing it, I seriously can't figure it.
