The battle for the top 4

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Indeed. I always skip over any post by Radford or USMartin (god rest him) and after this latest burst of verbal diarrhoea from tiny member he's gone on the ignore list too :barscarf:

Ramsey has been giving the ball away constantly, he is such a 'slack' footballer, I wonder if it's lack of skill or lack of intelligence or a mix of both? I really don't think he has what it takes to be a top player, as with several of our other 'first teamers'!

He had a terrible game yesterday but lets at least give a season to show his worth surely.

ok looking at the fixtures I predict the following points up to and including Saturday 10 December

Top 3 30 points+
4th Spurs 29
5th Liverpool 28
6th Arsenal 24

This would have us in a good position to kick on and over take them in the new year.

Yep. Kick on... just after Lord Vader has refused to strengthen once again during the January window and the usual injuries and player fatigue set in so that by March/April we are fucked. Again.

Yeah, but we'll have new signings Sagna, Vermaelen and Wilshere all back in the new year and when does anyone ever get injured in the second half of the season eh ?

The amusing thing will be if we do have some sort of semi-recovery that sees us crawl up towards the top six by January and qualify from the CL group. If that does happen then I agree that the Self Harmer will be reluctant to sign anyone. Then I can imagine us travelling to the Nou Camp with recurrent injuries to Sagna, TV5, a stack of centre halves, and Szezcny's crocked back.

Now can we break a new record for a CL knock-out stage defeat by taking on Barca with Fabianski, Jenkinson, Song, Mertesacker and Santos strung along the back line. 10-0 anyone ?
