CL semi final, second leg: Villareal 0 Arsenal 0Macca wrote:The Arsenal do NOT play for draws. When have you ever seen us play that way? Never, our style of play is always to attack , that is what we will do tonight, and as before we may come a croppa, but that's the way we play.Red Member wrote:this will be tough tonight.
here is a possible scenario.
if it is 0-0 with 10 minutes to go. Do we try and hold out for a draw to qualify or go all out for a win to see us win the group, knowing that if we get caught on the counter attack we could lose and then need to win in Greece ?
I think we should play it very tight tonight and make sure of qualification.
then with the pressure off the reserves will probably win in Greece anyway
Everyone knows that ?!?!
CL semi final, first leg Old Trafford Man United 1 Arsenal 0
CL last 16, season just gone by: Barcelona 3-1 Arsenal 1. Arsenal had ZERO shots on goal, a new CL record.
FA Cup final 2005: Man United 0 Arsenal 0. 1 shot on target in 120 minutes I believe.
CL group stage, a few weeks ago. Marseilles 0 Arsenal 1. How many attacks did we create in regulation 90 minutes? Hardly any. Packed the midfield, sat back and hoofed it forwards every opportunity.
It's a myth that our style is always to attack imo, it's another created piece of bullshit spin by our Dear Leader...

You could probably say a couple of those games we weren't capable of playing more offensively even though we may have tried, Barca, ManU, hence the low shot count for The Arsenal, not that I can remember the ins and outs of the older games.Babatunde wrote:CL semi final, second leg: Villareal 0 Arsenal 0Macca wrote:The Arsenal do NOT play for draws. I will happily settle for a point tonight.
