Arsenal crap XI

G88ner - beg to differ with a few of yours.

I thought Silvinho was a good attacking wing back, shame about his passport.

Hughes was good at first, then lost confidence.

Grimandi was a poor defender, but as a defensive midfielder he was good, no worse than Song.

Morrow was OK as a defensive midfielder. As in 5-6 out of 10 OK, but not a disaster.

How fucking dare ANYONE list The Grimster on this thread!!!

Did you not see his wonderful tackle/assault on Davids the scummer? The man single handedly stopped a scummer from scoring the first goal at the Grove. He should have a fucking statue put up there. 8)

I always remember fondly a 1-0 win against utd, with Grimandi deputising for Vieira. He poleaxed Keane in the first few mins, and honestly scared the shit out of him, never seen Keane so quiet in a game after that. :barscarf: A genuine hatchet man.

If I'm honest, in the end, my list was more a cult/favourites XI rather than a guilty pleasures XI, as yes - Silvinho was actually a very good player.

Aye, Silvinho was quality. It is a shame about his passport, but then again, legend has it that that is why Cole wasn't sold to Palace, so maybe it was a blessing in disguise.

Hughes was an odd one. Looked really good for us, but his career disappeard through the floor after he'd left :? was it injuries? if not, I'm amazed he never made a decent Premier league player for someone.

Grimandi was fairly average, but 100% heart and commitment. He was a great squad player for us. I also think his goal in that 1-0 win at home to Palace was hugely important, and one of many moments that ended with us as champions in '98.

Morrow won us a cup final, and like Linighan the same season, will always be remembered for their contributions. And broken bones (Morrow's arm, Linighan's nose! )
