On MOTD, they said the Russian transfer window shuts "next month", so today wasn't a deadline if Anzhi wanted Arshavin.mcdowell42 wrote:on young guns twitter anzhi have denied making a move for arshavin. He trained with arsenal this morning and has travelled to bolton with the squad.
Can't see why we'd let him go though... he may be frustrating, but I'd still rather have him than not as he can't be replaced if he does go.

Technically not, but I would sell ASAP.g88ner wrote:On MOTD, they said the Russian transfer window shuts "next month", so today wasn't a deadline if Anzhi wanted Arshavin.mcdowell42 wrote:on young guns twitter anzhi have denied making a move for arshavin. He trained with arsenal this morning and has travelled to bolton with the squad.

I would rather Gervinho, Walcott and The Ox covered the wide midfield roles between them and got cash in for the sluggish Arshavin.

For me, no matter how good he might become if "played in the right role", the deciding factor is his bad attitude and poor character.
He is lazy. His lazness and bad attitude prevent him from contributing anything to the team.
So fucking what if he's played out of position? It happens. Man up and shut the fuck up and get on with your overpaid job you lazy fuckwit. There is no excusing lack of effort.
It's a shame because he is a talented player but you cannot carry passengers in a team.

I agree in principal, but the diffrerence is you have to respect the manager and have faith in him, when asked to play out of position. Utd being the perfect example of this.DB10GOONER wrote:For me, no matter how good he might become if "played in the right role", the deciding factor is his bad attitude and poor character.

I doubt very much whether a seasoned international, who has played under some top managers, has any confidence or belief in what Wenger is doing.

Oh I agree that faith in the manager is hugely important, sid - but I will never agree with the concept of players deciding to go lazy because they disagree with the manager. That is not their decision to make. The manager is the boss and a player should do what they are told and do it to the best of their ability.goonersid wrote:I agree in principal, but the diffrerence is you have to respect the manager and have faith in him, when asked to play out of position. I've had bad managers that played me out of position and I wouldn't dare turn up and piss about. I find fuckers that don't give their all just sickening. Especially when the cúnts are paid a fortune to do it.
There is no "I" in team, but there is "U" in cúnt (aimed at AA23, not you sid!).

Yeah but in fairness, me turning up drunk and hungover, Percy turning up weighing in at 35 stone, augie turning up with two left feet and no hair, and FrankSav turning up at all, didn't help him much!!I Hate Hleb wrote:Yeah that Chunky geezer has got a lot to answer for!!DB10GOONER wrote:Oh I agree that faith in the manager is hugely important, sid - but I will never agree with the concept of players deciding to go lazy because they disagree with the manager.
