VILLA GAME THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Going to have to be patient , they are coming fresh and as has been said above, are going to sit 9 or 10 behind the ball at all times.

As a result, we need pace from the bench so OX will probably stay on the bench and maybe some fresh legs will come in in Ramseys place (benayoun?). Personally id bench Walcott the drip, but that isnt going to happen.

id take any sort of win, 6-0, 4-3, 1-0 off the keepers arse...anything is fine - be a massive 6 point week if we can do it

Between Walcott, Ox and Headuardo though we've got enough pace to start with 2 from the 3 and still be able to inject some late in the game if need be. Agree Benayoun may provide a bit more guile though if they're just gonna sit deep.

That said, whatever team we pick today we should have more than enough for villa as long as we turn up with the right attitude. Thought we reverted back to 1 or 2 old habits on Wednesday, namely easing off instead of going for the jugular when only 1-0 up. Just hoping we don't let complacency kick in now we're back above the scum (for now at least).

looks like djourou might be straight back off :D

edit: wasn't djourou's fault, he just tried to compete for a header... heskey didn't look in his direction at all so don't think it was deliberate... the arm was swinging a bit though
