STOKE RFC THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

BIGGEST MATCH OF THE SEASON SO FAR
No shit Sherlock. Bigger than the game in Udinese - surely not.

Anyway, I will be back here on Saturday evening reminding you of your 'comfortable victory' prediction. Remind me other than RvP who is cream crackered, and Arteta and Walcott who are both out......how many PL goals have the rest of the squad contributed this season.

Bet Stoke are shitting themselves at Benayoun and Gervinho passing from side to side in front of them

Who will you support next season if Arsenal don't qualify for the CL ? There must be a relative somewhere in the family who went to Manchester once
i forgot the Udinese game. how could I forget that :D
no its not bigger than that but it is our most important league match of the season

RVP will have had a nice rest this week, Gervinho and the OX have the strength to hold off the Stoke defenders, Rosicky and Song will excel as usual in midfield, not forgetting your favourite Diaby who might play! :D
thanks for reminding me about Benayoun - I bet Chelsea wish they had him available for the CL final.

And finally to our back 4 which is slowly becoming the most feared defensive unit in the PL. we even have our super sub, the brazilian striker Santos. Stoke wont know whats hit them! :barscarf:
Red, when all is said and done mate, you do have an ability to cheer me up when I'm at my miserable worst mate !

Gervinho having the strength to hold off the Stoke defenders is a blinder even by your own standards. I don't think he's strong enough to carry his own forehead

But you are right about Abou's return - that is the one genuine ray of hope, that when we're sideways passing everyone into an afternoon nap, the great man just changes gear and glides effortlessly through them to lift the whole mood.

Abou the Saviour to the rescue :barscarf: :barscarf:

I don't see why.

We've got at least a 3pt cushion (and better goal difference) on everyone apart from Newcastle, and they have a tough set of fixtures.

6pts will do it, I reckon. Possibly less.

Anyway, people have been throwing in the towel for months. It's a normal reaction for gooners these days, so you're in good company.

Do we have any towels left? That's the question we should be asking.

I wouldn't advise doing that at Stoke.....you'll be helping Rory with his throws :D

We also have some tough fixtures, it's not going to be an easy ride. Our main competition for 3rd is Tottenham though I believe, Newcastle's run of fixtures isn't going to yield them too many points.

Anyway, there's nothing wrong with a healthy dose of pessimism! :D

If we get a win at Stoke (did you know his sister has six fingers on both hands) then it will re-motivate us  and we'll win the remaining two games, if not we IZ Fecked.

.simples.

Expect a goal from RVP and from Super Tom and maybe one from TV5 or Kos :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf: either that or feck all  :rubchin:

Poor Abou - what rotten luck :(

on Abou Diaby….
He will not start. He was sick until yesterday and had a light session. He could be short again but he could be in the squad

When are we going to get our talisman back ?

Not good Friday news
