Arsenal v Norwich

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

we no longer have to worry about Chelsea as they will win the CL anyway.
Hopefully they can now do us a favour and beat Newcastle on Wednesday night.

the only problem now are Spurs. the game changer has been Hodgson's appointment. Suddenly Spurs will be motivated again and they have 3 winnable games. I had assumed that they would drop a couple of points which would mean that we just needed to beat Norwich to qualify. We now may need to win our final two - tricky
Changed your tune a bit after the 'nice comfortable victory' at Stoke, I see :D

A draw in this one and then Woy's big send off at the Hawthorns, and its hello Thursday night in front of Channel 5. The club have already upped all the membership prices though.....oops

Fuck this one up and we could miss out on top 4, the utd/citeh game may be getting all the headlines, but the spuds trip to bolton and the chavs game on Wednesday are the big games of the week for gooners.

I may have got the odd isolated prediction wrong recently but you have to look at the bigger picture.
the main objective this season for the club this season (and my main prediction) was to finish in the top 4.

this is still achievable and may even be secured on Saturday. I am quite prepared to accept I was wrong if that is not achieved

I just hope that Bolton do us a favour and the Chavs and Newcastle draw......leaving us to limp over the line 2-1 against Norwich with a hotly disputed penalty in the 95th minute (we're due one as we could actually complete the PL season without being awarded a home penalty !!)

Red can lead us all in a thunderous chorus of "There's only one Arsene Wenger" during the lap of appreciation :barscarf:

I actually didnt buy a ticket for this one as I assumed that we would already have qualified for the top 4 by now

This is what I hope to see on Saturday.

bizarre that red is seen as the WUM on here,
yet there are several posters on this Gooner board that want us to lose...
I know who winds me up more

Norwich made a lot of changes for the Liverpool game, including resting Holt who will be up for the fight and like Crouch might see a game against Arsenal as a good chance to boost his England chances.

Norwich at their best winning the ball high - I hope we can deal with that
Stoke pressed high more than I expected so we had a practice run

I feel a lot more confident with Szcz Bak Verm Kos Gibb intact
Songs power on the ball gives us a good pivot to get through the initial press
Rambo is slightly improved in last two games in a reconfigured role as Arteta replacement (lost out to Torres tracking a few times but passing decent) but I think will need to up his tempo v the Canaries
Rosicky maintaining his very good form and Yossi looking pretty useful (surprised he was the man subbed v Stoke)
even Gervinho has raised his level slightly and with Wenger desperate to keep Ox out of the Euros will prob play again
RVP broke his drought

its a game we need to win and I will be cheering on my team to do so
weird that supporting your team is apparently optional on this board...

maybe a few years out the CL, will change the boards expections - don't you realise if we get 3rd, the board and Wenger will just think - the squad is good enough for the PL and CL challenge

we need a dismissal season of finishing 10th before any action will happened
you may need to support another team if you like finishing 10th.
also these days if you finish that low it takes years to get back up towards challenging for a top 4 position let alone the title. like many supporters you need a reality check - this is not the 1970s anymore

Doesnt say they want us to lose, does it? Its an observation that while we stay in the top 4 things wont change and thats true
