I always thought clichy would be a proper player with a decent manager coaching him. Still cant cross for shit though.

Yaya Toure bossed that game, what a fucking monster. Although he did fail to track phil jones at one point and gave him a free cross

Zabaleta also brilliant, been a long time since I watched a game and two fullbacks stood out with their defensive performances.

Hopefully that game has blown apart the myth that ferguson always looks to attack, he's been playing that way in Europe and (until the last couple of years) against us for some time. It just never gets picked up on because he usually wins doing it and I dont particularly blame him for it. Still, a myth is a myth.

Both clubs, fans, managers and teams are *word censored*...however I would have preferred a draw or manure to win for the pure and simple reason that I don't want that utter *word censored* of a fat goofy dyke nasri to win ANYTHING EVER!             :banghead: he's a f*cking :cussing: :censored:

Not sure I understand this comment

I just logged on to say what a great result it was last night because it means that Newcastle are surely out of the CL race now - no way will they beat a City team going for the title :D

only Spurs to worry about now - hopefully Bolton will get something tomorrow night

I think he's looking at the bigger picture of city 'buying' the championship rather than us qualifying for a competition we cant possibly win next season

I have to agree that the whole Chelsea and Man City thing has made a joke out of football. Nowhere clubs suddenly able to chuck money away like it was toilet paper.
History will say they won the league (maybe) but its not really sport is it.

spot on.
for all those moaning about AW I have said on here many times in the past that he is largely irrelevant - it is who the owner is that is important these days. If we want to bring back the trophy winning days then Usmanov has to be brought in. otherwise you can have any manager in charge of Arsenal and we still wont win the league

It doesnt help when you have a manager who wont spend the money available to him and instead carries on with a crackpot 'project' of bringing through average youth players in the hope 1 or 2 make it big time

How come we are 3rd then?
If we were in 7th or 8th like Liverpool you may have a point but we are not.

At least 2 of the last 4 seasons the league title has been there for the taking but due to our manager not strengthen in Jan. we have missed out. As i said im glad youre happy with 3rd

City will win it. They'll twat the Barcodes at their place and romp past QPR. It will be painful to see the little lesbian whore winning the league but that's exactly what is going to happen I'm afraid.

I think City wont beat Nwcastle but then Utd will slip up at Sunderland and City will win the league after beating QPR 8-0

cross of the season v Wolves (arguably a pass I suppose)
he looked back to his best was undeniably in a funk at Arsenal, went stagnant
can see why people blame the manager but personally I think grown up professional footballers should be up for it irrespective of their boss
also Clichy first became a great player under Wenger who is by anyones standards a minimum 'decent' manager
LDB wrote:Yaya Toure bossed that game, what a fucking monster. Although he did fail to track phil jones at one point and gave him a free cross
MOTD gave Toure a huge boost as well - personally disagree (I'm on the side of the Manc fan I heard shout "FCUKING WAKE UP YAYA!"). He's been a vital player for them this season (2nd to Kompany) but I thought the occasion got to him - he was desperate to do something memorable and I thought let the simple side slip
LDB wrote:Zabaleta also brilliant, been a long time since I watched a game and two fullbacks stood out with their defensive performances.
Zab was ledge, perfect going both ways, ManUre didn't get a sniff on his side

agree 100% late 90's early noughties that type of defensive setup was combined with kicking 7 shades. Now he combines it with desperate attempts to get the opposition sent off (Rooney is a cheating little turd and was rubbish)

Still think City will drop points at Newcastle and that Man Utd will have it back in their own hands again come the last game. Additionally, even if City win both their last two games, there is the possibility - albeit not a huge one - that United will make up the goal difference by smashing both Swansea and Sunderland :barscarf: (sorry safcftm mate, nothing personal  ).
