Andre Santos

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Agreed. One thing I will say though is whilst Eboue was a useless prick who spent more time laughing and joking and was perhaps the worst crosser of a ball I've ever witnessed and a diver, at least he kept himself fit, could tackle (a bit) and had pace. We've just got a slower, fatter version now and spent €6m odd in the process

Fenerbahce must have been laughing all the way to the bank. I expect their catering bill has gone down since too

I still think he can do a job for us as a left or even central midfielder ,it's just that he isn't a left back !
I also think that whilst it annoyed the fuck out of me to see him and Van P @ HT I think the reactions have gone a wee bit OTT.
To Make him the scapegoat of the week won't make matters better !

It's a no brainer.
Gibbs if fit can play left midfield sometimes.

One thing bugs me about Santos.
Pre-season we played him in various positions in attacking midfield, and he was ok.
But last season we played him at left back and he was awful.
So why did we not buy a left back this summer?

You see it's posts like this that make most of the punters on here not believe you were a face back in the day. No pride in the shirt.
