I agree with both the lads here - these signings have come on the back of rvp's public statement and the letter from usmanov to the board which was also made public How much of an influence did these statements have in our transfer splashes I don't know for sure but I would be willing to bet money that they def played a big part I should also say that anybody hoping that rvp would stay now (and I was one of those) should expel those hopes from your mind cos, in my opinion at least, these signings have been made to cover the loss of our skipper not to co-exist with him - can anybody seriously see us fitting those 3 new signings into the team alongside rvp ?

Btw I am out in Malaga at the mo (belmadena to be precise) and am wondering if it might be too soon for the locals to see a guy walking around their town with an Arsenal shirt with cazorla on the back of it ?
