Chickens coming home to roost methinks You dont have to be bill gates to know that sponsors, especially the Grade A type of sponsors, want to be associated with success and we neither offer success nor suggest that it is in our sights or targets Granted you will still attract sponsors but not top sponsors and certainly not at the price your rivals will be getting and of course that will lead to questions as to why our commercial deals are so shit in comparison to our rivals I want adidas as our kit supplier and I have said that for a long time but has anybody thought about what might happen if neither adidas nor nike are interested is our club ? We certainly enjoyed taking the piss out of our neighbours with their "pile of pony" kit deal but a continued spell without trophies might bring a similar unwelcome reality check
We are the third bigges Nike shirt sellers, only behind Manu and Barca, so I would suggest that it's not all about being assiciated with "winners" mate.
It's what they can make out of us that counts and as long as we sell shed loads of shirts then the big sponsorship contracts can be expected.
We have a huge world wide support no matter what we think of our current predicament.
Yeah it is nice flash but too little too late for me - nike have turned out some absolutely horrific kids for us since they took over as official kit suppliers and they can go fcuk themselves as far as I am concerned I wonder if this traditional kit is being wheeled out in a bid to influence negotiations for next season when the existing contract runs out

To be honest if it's yellow (proper yellow) and blue (dark blue) then they'll do well to fuck it up and piss people off. Although I reserve my right to be surprised in that regard.
