As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Too little too late.
This is pretty much just like John Terry telling us all "some of my best friends are black!"

Bit late for that Flash. The damage has already been done
You could say its the last words of a condemned man

"Before you crucify me, I love pasties too! I eat them all the time. Why I had one just last week from the shop at that train station that disappeared 5 years ago." - David Flash Cameron
The way he flicks his foot forward to cut across the ball & put the spin on it to use the pace of Henry pass to just cushion it perfectly into Judas' path. Looks so easy but how fucking deft is it. That was the thing about Bergkamp, he made so many incredibly difficult things look like such a piece of piss that I really think a lot of people outside of Arsenal (& Flash! ) never appreciated just how good he was. I would happily make sweet passionate love to that pass and then cuddle it in the morning. I'd maybe even temporarily crawl out of the foetal position to buy it a sewing machine if it ever left me for the milkman too.
I wish I'd never mentioned that bloody sewing machine
Is that what she calls her new fella? The "Sewing Machine"?
Or is it "The Jack Hammer"?
As if life wasnt hard enough for g88ner coming from Birmingham without us all know about his sewing machine debacle
flash gunner wrote:Sid i know augie didnt say he wanted Wenger dead but i thought the thing he did write was too close to the mark also which is why i deleted it
g88ner my nagging doubt (i know i sound like a schizophrenic now) is that he tried to take the ball with him as he turned but instead knocked it to the side of the defender and had no choice but to go the other side of him to get the ball back
Chill out Flash I was only kidding, and stop fucking digging that hole.

2. The technique or style with which an artistic work is produced or carried out.
So many great memories from Dennis it's difficult to pick one out as the favourite. If pressed though I would say the goal against Leverkusen as it is typical Dennis: Strength, skill, ingenuity, genius, perfect execution. I don't think I will see a player as good wearing the red and white again in my lifetime.

I still not sure if he meant the newcastle one
MODS- A BANNING IS IN ORDER
I knew id get slated for saying that but however much i want to believe he meant it there is always a nagging doubt that he did
Flash, I'm calling Mike and getting you sacked, motherfucker.
To quote Lee Dixon when asked by "Smasher" Keys if DB meant it;
"This is Dennis Bergkamp we are talking about. He did stuff like that every single day in training. Of course he meant it."
Look at his movement as the ball approaches, the way he is looking about and positioning himself, the way he is already moving off around the defender even as he places the ball the other way. Meant it 100%.
Not only my favourite DB goal but my fave goal of all time. By anyone. It's not a 30 yard screamer but they are a dime a dozen tbh. It's the finesse, the weight of touch, the vision, the sheer fucking genius of it.
Flash, old mate, I am going to kick you in the bollocks. Really hard. Twice.
Absolutely meant it and my favourite Bergkamp goal alongside the Sunderland FA Cup one (still can't split them).
What's often forgotten by most people - including gooners - is the build up to the goal. Vieira wins the ball outside our box with a robust tackle and plays it inside to DB half-way in our half. He in turn picks out Pires who is wide on the left (still in our half) and sets off into Newcastle's half. Bobby runs forward and holds it up until Bergkamp is on the toes of the defender just outside their box and then picks him out with a pass that disects 3 United players. The rest was pure magic the likes of which is rarely seen.
Very very difficult to pick out the best moments from a player of such unbelievable talent. The Newcastle one has to be up there, the Leicester one as well (although it still riles me to this day that we threw 2 points away). The one against Spurs was a huge favourite of mine, from Wright mugging off the full-back to that ridiculous touch on the half-volley. Bergkamp made stuff like that look simple but watch the replay of the ball coming out of the sky and where it bounces and you tell me how many players could stick it in the net in 2 touches and 1 second.
Also got a lot of time for trying to stamp on that dirty Scouse cockroach Carragher.
Match 42 of the 49 versus 'Boro. After going 3-1 down DB scored a scorcher almost immediately from kick off, triggering the comeback that continued the run. It's like as captain, his message was we're not losing on my watch. Didn't have to shout his intentions, his actions spoke louder than words.

After witnessing that 'footballler' Santos again last night I just felt the urge to bump this thread to remind us of the quality we used to have at our club.
I am genuinely lost for words as to how Dennis and Thierry etc have now been replaced by Santos, Ramsey etc who apparently form part of Wenger's best group of players?!?!?!?
