David Dein might have been right on the finance side but we own where we live and thats a big thing, plus I never wanted to move to WEMBLEY,I am happy we remain in Islington . Plus it just would have meant him and fizman stuffing more dosh into their trousers, the team wouldn't have benefited.
As for West Ham getting it virtually for nowt I'm gutted and I have no doubt that they can if they are sensible they can grow themselves a massive fan base from it.
Kids are priced out or shut out because of non availability in the caring sharing premiership,so this leaves massive scope for cabbage patching the children of North Kent and Essex.
Once kids are 10/11 the team they support tends to stick for life, similarly a kid that has grown up attending football before 16 is more likely to attend as he gets older.
Cheapo seats for kids will grow them by the thousand and all in a safe atmosphere as opposed to the slum that Upton Park is and always has been.
I cant see them nicking Tourists from us though, East London is still a shit hole outside the park and the transport links are still shit . It takes 25 mins to walk from Stratford and 30 mins from West Ham or London fields.
What it will do though is give us access to more seats for a few years though dont expect them to share the cheap seats with us .

Do you think we could get an away allocation of 5-6K when they move in here?

With the offer the Spuds made, there was no chance they'd get the stadium.supergeorgegraham wrote:Better West Ham get it than Spurs
