Benayoun abuse

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

If they wanted someone funny and African-American, then why not Dave Chapelle, Chris Rock, Charlie Murphy etc?

Chris rock.....great in the lethal weapon movies but shit in stand up comedy  The DVD I seen of him bordered on racism tbh
Not seen Lethal Weapon movies but saw Chris Rock live, was greatest live comedy performance I have ever seen...immaculate timing.
He was only in last of Lethal Weapon movies, 4, he is very funny in the films I've seen him in but I have seen some of his stand up and was not too impressed tbh.

Whilst if you regard some of his content as racist then so be it, but when I saw him, I was aware I was seeing someone who had mastered their game.
I have not seen loads of stand up live, though have seen Louis CK, Little Britain, Fast Show, Lenny Beige, Mark Meir, Kevin Day, Al Murray (Pub Landlord), Ninia Benjamin, Curtis Walker, Victor Romero Evans and a few other British acts but Rock was so good he scared me.

I found Chris Rock ok, but not great. Very funny in places, but a bit "here comes the punchline, look here it comes" at times, if that makes sense? So much of his act when I saw him was lifted from Eddie Murphy too.

Of course Murphy lifted alot of his act from the late great Richard Prior. 8)

Have to admit when I saw Reginald D Hunter I didn't find him to overuse the "N" word and he was pretty funny. :| Saw Mickey Flannigan last year and thought he was piss funny. Worked the crowd brilliantly and his stories were so funny. 8)

But to be honest, none of them past or present are a patch on the sadly missed Bill Hicks. Genius. Absolute fucking genius. 8) 8) 8)
