Will never happen for many reasons the main ones being the age/contract issue and his dressing room 'persona' not forgetting that his engine is not what it was and he passed on Parker same time last year when he was topically in demand due to his form. More chance of Song actually receiving the La Liga trophy or playing in goal )than Fat Frankie playing for us.

Hummels and Rooney would be interesting acquisitions however unlikely

Although whilst we're on the topic Fabregas carried this team for years. In the period 2006-2010 who else was consistently class? With the exception of 2007/08 (where Flamini had a great season and Sagna was great, Adebayor was class for half a season and Eduardo was impressive until his injury) I'm struggling to think of anybody that got near matching the standards that Fabregas set every week until his last season.
