Stoke now linked with Mark Hughes. When will these clubs learn that he is shite! But if he takes Stoke down, after bankrupting them, then good luck to him and good riddance to the knuckle draggers!

Unfortunately it seems it doesn't matter to most chairman whether or not you're a good manager, it's more important whether you were a good footballer. Despite showing themselves to be poor managers (and pricks to boot), Steve Bruce and Paul Ince have held an astonishing 14 managerial jobs between them, and how Roy Keane's career lasted 5 years is a mystery.

Another club whose allegedly great fans will get everything they deserve for the "he's taken us as far he can" nonsense. As far as they could go when he took over was a lower half Championship side and all of a sudden the fella has done a fucking shit job finishing 13th in the Premier League. This smacks of O'Neill having taken Leicester as far as he could, and Curbishley having taken Charlton as far as he could. Lets see how Stoke do with Mark Hughes at the helm - perhaps he can really raise their level by signing Djibril Cisse, Jose Bosingwa, Rob Green and Shaun Wright-Phillips

Like him or loathe him Pulis on the whole did a good job at Stoke and my money is on them being worse off without him

Hughes set to be announced as Stoke boss within 24 hours as Potters seek pass master.

Quelle surprise.
Let's enjoy this *word censored* finishing off the job, relegation and administration.

Exactly, he must be the most under achieving manager in recent years to still be held in high regard by the media.

Hughes is a prick. Good jobs at Wales and Blackburn, failed at City, Fulham and QPR since (and proven himself to be a huge prick in the process).

If he hadn't had a good playing career would he still be considered for a PL job (albeit at Stoke)? Not a fucking chance.

So we're all agreed then hughes is a prick and we hate stoke just as much as, if not more so, than we did when the other prick pulis was in charge. No change there then.

Hate Stoke more for appointing Hughes than keeping Pulis.

Those ungrateful tossers deserve everything they get when he repeats his miracle of Loftus Rd......they'll be searching for their first win when its nearly Christmas

He is a w**ker of the highest order and he is finally at a club suited to him 8) It always looks bad for a new manager when fans are protesting before he even gets the job

I can't help thinking there's more to this than meets the eye.

I can completely understand getting rid of that Scumbag Pulis and his 'rollerball' inspired tactics and replacing him with a half-decent person who may want his team to occasionally play a bit of football. But Hughes!!With his reputation for class and grace and the flowing football his teams play I'm sure Stoke will grace Middle Earth in their customary fashion. Please God they get relegated.

Yeah, the cavemen were starting to get too much bad publicity as people had woken up to their thug tactics and boring as fuck spoiling tactics. Pubis was looking even more of a bell-end than usual so they got rid of him. Hughes is a total prick too so they are well suited.
