According to the forward to the English version, the Dutch edition is more of a "Coffee Table" style book, with more content and photographs,so Batflyer seems to have bought well!!!

Exactly. The Dutch version of the book is 240 x 305 mm, so that's pretty huge. Can't wait for it to arrive.
Enjoying it so far. It's written differently to most football biographies. Alot of it is first person from DB10 and it gives amazing insite into his personality, his methods as a player and his vision of the game. Great bit where all the Dutch legends sat around late one night talking about who was the best ever Dutch footballer. They chose Bergkamp for his technique.
Great story from VanJudasCunt about sitting in a jacuzzi at the training ground watching Bergkamp through a window as DB10 practiced shot and pass after shot and pass and how that moment influenced how RVJC approached the game and training.
I thought about asking for it for Crimbo, but I know 1,000% there's NO WAY I can wait that long....I don't like to buy anything from amazon (after the way they kept selling that manscum mongs mp3 about AW etc) but they're doing it for £11.40 (P&P free).
Talking of legends and books has anyone read this? and if so what is it like?

Yeah I've read it, it's really good actually. Auclair is an Arsenal fan so I was expecting it to be quite biased and favourable, but it's really not. It's very honest and can be quite scathing and critical at times, although it obviously dishes out plenty of praise where deserved. It also covers some quite sensitive times with Henry's family as a youth team player and certainly doesn't pull any punches about his fall-through move to Real Madrid.
It's a bit slow to start with but it's well worth a read.

Agree with this, I bought it before I went away for a week last week. Hope to finish it this weekend. No ground shaking revelations in it but I wasn't expecting that there would be.
I started reading the Henry biography and got bored with it. Are there any decent football biographies out there at the moment?
I've lost interest in them, the last one I enjoyed was Vieira's. No doubt the two biggies are redknapps n fergusons at the moment but both seem a bit bitter and mundane...

.... has sold quite well and received positive reviews.
Just a heads up: this is featuring as an Amazon.co.uk 'Black Friday' deal at 7pm this evening, so should be a very good price for anyone who hasn't bought it yet.
the book costs 20 bucks (dollars) on amazon, but shipping to brazil is another 35.
been trying to buy some photography books as well, impossible to acquire culture and knowledge in a third world country. which sort of explains why we'll always be a bunch of ignorant fucktards

Thanks for the tip-off, will be keeping a close eye on that. It's currently priced at £9.99, so if it's around £6.99, I'll shut up and give them my money!
