Thought McClaren was pretty much nailed on for the Derby job? Hope they get Pulis instead like, I'd rather have him out of the running than McClaren (I could just about stand watching us under McClaren if I had to, I think I'd gouge me own eyes out if it was Pulis). By now it looks like we'll either keep with the foreign manager who favours a passing style (Poyet, who was sat in the south stand with the Sunderland fans on Sunday) or we'll give the job to Kevin Ball who has done a good job at the youth levels, tries to get his sides to play decent football and is Sunderland through and through. I wouldn't mind either getting the job now tbh, doubt it makes a difference like, we're fucked anyway due to being utter shit.

Don't worry. I'm sure we'll sign a top quality striker in January and will then loan you Bendtner so all your problems will be solved!

Yep, Dulux teeth Schteeve has gone to Derby. Christ, can you imagine if Pubis gets the Mackems job? We'd hear the return of phrases such as: "reducer", "mixer", "percentages", "break his fucking leg" and "he's not that type of player".

I know football has jumped the shark, but surely they won't go for this baseball cap wearing psuedo hard man will they?

We wouldn't be that lucky, and Arsenal won't let Bendtner go once they see how well he can perform nowadays. I like the avatar by the way!

Very little chance of Pulis tbh, we've moved to a set up with a director of football so its a head coach role rather than an old school manager role which probably wouldn't suit Pulis. Plus we've tried to bring in players who can pass the ball etc, we've been playing a more passing style this season (we keep losing the ball and are shit at it admittedly but we're trying) so I would imagine Short will opt to bring Poyet in, his style more closely matches what we seem to be aiming for now than what Pulis would bring to the table. Hope to god its not Pulis like, one trick pony and if he was still there Stoke would have been relegated sooner rather than later, would be a dreadful appointment.

I see that manc reject that masquerades as the mackems captain has now come out (no he hasn't confirmed those long standing rumours  ) and confirmed that senior players got di canio the sack  Fcuking ridiculous that players are no longer allowed to be told when their performances and attitude is shite in case it hurts their feelings

But on a serious note even though I can't say I pay any particular interest to Sunderland or that I have any personal dislike for O'Shea merely because he used to warm the United bench, every time I've seen him on the pitch or open his mouth to the press he smacks of a bloke who is going through the motions and views Sunderland as a cushy pension fund rather than a new challenge or whatever.

I think that's a good point. Quite a lot of players view the North East as a quaint little backwater in which to wind down their careers.

Most of the current Sunderland (new signings excepted) squad appear to be taking the piss and if I were a fan I'd be disgusted by what's going on there.

Let's see how long it takes Poyet to alienate the Mackem's thirsty (allegedly) squad.

Poyet, yet another prima donna, who was telling anyone who would listed that he would be a prem manager this season, with or without Brighton.
Short has fucked up again with this appointment, championship footie for the Mackems next season, ah well! now where did I put that stapler?

All aboard the Gusbus. Not a bad appointment to be honest, better than Pulis anyway and we never think to cast our net wider than "British based blokes who are currently out of work and thus don't need compensation, at least not until we sack them after a few months". Not that I'm excited by the appointment - he'll try and get us playing patient, passing football until he realises that our players have the technical ability of a goose, then he'll need to stay in the good books of O'Shea, Cattermole and the rest of the wasters in case they decide they don't like him and go crying to the owner again, then we'll get relegated because we're shit. Still, lots of good games in the championship, plenty daft towns in the north west and Yorkshire for us to take over, we might even win some games.
