City won't win the league. Why? They have Hart in goal.

He didn't need awareness. The keeper is always in charge there - Hart is supposed to bark LOUD instructions (either LEAVE IT or CLEAR IT) and the defender does what he's told. Or stay on his line and wait for Nastacic to head it back to him.

It's basic stuff. You don't need to be a top keeper or top defender to get it right. Just needs communication.

The fact Nastacic tried to head it back to Hart suggests he didn't get a loud clear instruction to leave it. Or he simply ignored the shout. Stupid.

Exactly what I said very few have real control over their defensive area. Once or twice Ches's needed to pull out a top save when the back 4 has let him down and has he had a go at them...not that I've seen.

Most of the older goal keepers used to command their area totally, cajoling and bullying defenders. Not too many of those anymore.

AVB has just told Sky what we've all always known : Spur support is f**king sh*t

Imagine your own manger slagging the fans off saying they create no atmosphere and they are too negative

We're going to fall an Aguero/Judas/Higuain short this season.
Corrected that for you because the fans on the whole didn't want that rat faced cheat anywhere near our club
According to the poll on this thread...

I can certainly imagine our own chairman doing it because he tarred us with that brush on more than one occasion

All it proves to me is that ALL team's away following make more noise than their home fans (apart from little clubs punching above their weight carried away by their one and only PL season)

Hart has cost them points but their defending in general is shocking at times. There aren't any teams that defend really well compared to the likes of Mourinho's old Chelsea and United with van der Sar around 2008 but City's defending is by far the most alarming out of the top few teams. The goals that they conceded to throw away the games at Cardiff and Villa would have been out of place at parks level - long balls punted down the pitch not being remotely dealt with, no communication or familiarity between the defenders and keeper and no confidence.

I'm not Lescott's biggest fan but playing Garcia at CB ahead of him is insane - the bloke has flopped at centre mid and he's just not cut out to play there.

Its no coincidence that keepers fall out of form generally when they are worried about the back four. I don't rate that Nastasic bloke one bit and Hart has never looked as out of form since that defence became unsettled by not having Kompany there regularly.

FFS if you're outside the box and head it back towards goal, you expect your keeper to be somewhere able to catch it, not trying to get into your shorts. Stupid. So fucked off. Bad day today.

Watching freebee BT sport on freeview and it's the St Etiienne v PSG game.

St Etienne are having a real go are 1-0 up and should be 2 or 3 up.

They really have got a class team PSG but these world class players look like they are just going through the motions. In a non oil rich PSG Ibra would probably be at the chavs, Cavani at Madrid and Thiago Silva would be at somewhere like Bayern.

Apparently Blaise Matuidi hasn't signed a new contract and is available on a free next summer. He's very good and I can't believe PSG's owner's would let a player like that leave. He's what we would all like Diaby to be, a solid box to box midfielder, that can head the ball and has a serious shot on him, Paddy lite.

Can't believe the players are interviewed at halftime  :?

Game just got interesting.

Surigi(PSG keeper) jumps to collect the ball from a cross and drops the ball while hurdling his own defender(Alex formerly of chavs), the loose ball is slotted in by St Etienne. 2-0.

If Ibra doesn't wake from his half slumber, PSG will lose their 21match unbeaten streak

I hope he does because a 2-0 win for St Etienne will see Lord Wenger buy half of their team in January

Absolutely chippy - it does seem at times that some are more inclined to defend hart because he is englands number 1, than they would be if those mistakes were being made by de gea or Chesney even. Fact is that the shampoo c**t had no business being out that far and his centre back was in control of the situation - hart is making so many bad decisions borne out of an awareness that he is badly off form and I absolutely believe that they will go in for casillas in January. People slated mancini big time but the man was shrewd enough to see a keeper that wasn't going in the right direction and he was supposed to be making moves behind the scene to replace him

Do you mean people on here? - because there's no defending of Hart on this thread from what I can see. If you mean in the media, I thought there was pressure for him to be dropped for the England games, so it's not as if his reputation is untouchable... in fact, as I don't watch Citeh games, the only reason I'm aware he's been shite this season is that I've read it on here, in the press and on TV.

Certainly looked like he had no business coming out for that ball today though.... but still don't understand why there was a mix up, as surely Hart would have yelled at the defender to leave it for him, yet as the defender DID head the ball I can only assume Hart came rushing out and said nothing... which is incredibly stupid for ANY keeper, at ANY level. Strange.

Christ mate you have become an argumentative twat recently. We had you pegged as a nice bloke. I think what we were saying is that Joe Hart is not very good.
