Napoli away

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Wow, Theo on the bench. Thought he would have started this as I expect Napoli will attack us all guns blazing, so having Theo on the break might have helped.

Plus he needs games!

Oh well.

arteta is going to have to play well tonight for us to get a win tonight - Arteta and Falm, midfield two.

Rambo on the bench. which figures nearing in mind the clattering his knee took on Sunday.

1-0 :barscarf:

If there's a better CB pairing than BFG and Kos in football, please show me where, as I haven't seen it.

Seems to be employing Flamini in a slightly different role tonight. Arteta as the deep-lying holding playmaker and Flamini as the all-around dogsbody. To be fair seems to be working okay so far, rarely say this about Wenger but I like the thinking behind it as Flamini obviously gives us the tenacity etc all over midfield and with Arteta playing the deep role he can provide a platform for our attacking moves by taking two or three high-pressing midfielders out of the game with good feet/passing like he did in Dortmund.
