Platinum prices have been going up regularly too.hugh jardon wrote:They proudly announce "only" the 3rd ticket price rise in 9 years (usually announced at the end of the season but now they do it when top of the league) but the booking fees and huge silver membership price hikes go unmentioned in the press.
Club made a big fuss over freezing Season Tickets" couple of summers ago but it referred only to gold tickets, not to platinum which are about 15% of the stadium total.
Re: Tickets to increase by 3% next season
The Arsenal management obviously have no faith in us winning anything so they make a pre-emptive strike whilst we are on top !
Classy move from a classy bunch !

Anybody get the new email from AISA ? Here are a few snippets for those who didn't get it -
1. Tomorrow we play Coventry City in the FA Cup and City fans groups want to use the exposure of the televised match to draw attention to their plight. REDaction have been working behind the scenes with the main Coventry fan groups. They have used their contacts to help get approval for Coventry fans to be able to bring their banners into the stadium. Coventry are experiencing a range of off the field issues at the moment - which mean they are playing their ‘home’ games in Northampton (35 miles away from Coventry). See this article for a summary. As is too often the case, the fans are the ones who suffer most. After 35 minutes of the game, Coventry fans plan to sing a song asking “why” they are playing ‘home’ games away from home. And after 61 minutes, they will sing a song asking “when” they will return to Coventry. At both of these points, REDaction are calling on Arsenal fans to stand and applaud the visitors, to show support for their campaign, and AISA is backing the plan. If you're at the Emirates Stadium tomorrow we hope you will join in
2. AISA is also backing Hull City supporters. The owner of Hull City AFC, Assem Allam, wants to change the playing name of the football club to ‘Hull Tigers.’ The proposed name change has been submitted to The Football Association without any consultation with the club’s supporters despite requests for this to take place. The Tigers Co-operative conducted a ballot of their members on the renaming issue in which more than two-thirds voted. They asked ‘should Hull City AFC be renamed ‘Hull Tigers’?’ The result was that 95.1% disagreed with the owner’s proposal. Members of the City Till We Die campaign group have been invited to attend a meeting with a sub-committee of The Football Association Council on 3rd February 2014 to discuss the issue so now is a good time to expresss a view - just contact the FA via the "contact us" button on their website and/or sign the petition here
3. Meeting with Arsenal Following the surprise announcement of a ticket price increase next season AISA arranged a meeting with the Club. This was planned for January 6th but was postponed due to Arsenal staff changes and has now been re-arranged. We will also be discussing other issues, mainly ticket-related; as always we welcome suggestions on issues that you think we should be raising. Please email [email protected] by the end of next week
A few quick questions/comments -
Now I have no real issue with our supporters groups supporting their counterparts at other clubs who are being badly wronged but I would like to know if this is a 2 way street ? We are being royally screwed over ticket prices on an ongoing basis (as opposed to away fans who face this ordeal just once a season) and I have never seen or heard our fans groups to organise a protest from Gooners during a game, much less get the opposition fans to join with us in solidarity.
Redaction have been able to "use their contacts" to allow Coventry fans bring and display banners during the game tomorrow night - why have they not used their sources to allow our fans the freedom to display banners in our own ground ? Are our club allowing opposition fans to display banners (correctly) having a pop at the owners of their club but at the same time opposing the rights of our fans to do the same ?

Have any fans contacted REDaction asking to bring particular banners into the ground?
Re: Tickets to increase by 3% next season
Havent the club publicly stated that they will remove banners in the past ?
Didn't Gooners have to submit banners in advance if they wished to display them at the scum game ?
Have the Coventry fans had to do that for tonights game and if not why not ?
Maybe sighing and sticking your tongue up redactions arse shouldn't be your reflex reaction

Banners! We don't need no steenking banners!

Re: Tickets to increase by 3% next season
I don't think it's right that banners should require prior approval but that's modern football I guess

Re: Tickets to increase by 3% next season
The banners aren't coming

Re: Tickets to increase by 3% next season
Offensive banners? Yes of course. Non offensive? No.augie wrote:Havent the club publicly stated that they will remove banners in the past ?

Yes
Yes they have
I can't stick my tongue up my own arse. Maybe your reflex reaction shouldn't be to jump on the negatives each time you see REDaction mentioned and try and tear everything to shreds.

If the content is not offensive or blocking anyone's view, then it will not be removed. Over to you.augie wrote:TheCook wrote:Offensive banners? Yes of course. Non offensive? No.augie wrote:Havent the club publicly stated that they will remove banners in the past ?
