Tottenham away pubs etc!!!

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

not strange at all - thats the 'rite of passage' the others were talking of - total strangers watching your back, even if its only a "leggit !" . and the laughs afterwards that you made it when you're safe on the train or tucked up in a nice west end pub.
Spot on. We ended up walking back from Manor House to the Eaglet past Finsbury Park and the Twelve Pins. So good to hear the singing coming from that pub and a tangible feeling that we were "home" again. Like the scene at the end of The Warriors... !

Me an my boy done the group walk, and right decision i think, though we did get into the ground 5 mins into the game and missed the goal, but it was definatly worth it.

Briliant atmosphere, the home support was very poor, and some people say we are quiet . .

The way home wasnt as bad as i expected it tbh.... a couple of swamp dwellers looking for something, but got no response so they fucked off behind us to try their luck... little did they know that about 50 yards behind was a group of young boys who didnt take any mouth, they soon kept quiet...

cant wait till the next game at the swamp ...COYG !!!

I've heard of so many people who took a kicking on Sunday (including someone who was directed up a side road by the police and then ambushed!), but for all the intimidation I didn't actually see any punches thrown.

Think part of the problem for gooners was the 15 minutes of singing after the game. It meant that we were leaving the grounds in bits and bobs. I'd feel much more confident walking up Tottenham High Road if we were a group of even 500 than the 10's and 20's that we ended up with. Too easy for them to pick off otherwise.

If the police aren't going to hold people back for an escort then maybe we need to do something similar ourselves. Surely we can organise a Twelve Pins to SHL type group walk, but in reverse? Would also love to see us arming ourselves with mace or pepper spray...would love to have temporarily blinded all those f*ckers who thought they were big men by shouting into the faces of anyone wearing an Arsenal shirt 8) !
