All prime examples of the wenger talent spotting that you refer to   The sad thing is that I would nearly take any of them ahead of kalou anyway  Well I did say nearly

I actually meant Christopher Wreh, or Fabian Caballero, or Aliadiere...

(although Wreh more than justified his signing during 1997-98, even if was a very average player! 8) )
He was always gonna be 4th choice behind Wrighty DB10 and Anelka in fairness.

The goal against Wolves in the semi earned him a place in my heart. 8)

I can't believe this story is any more than tabloid bullshit as Kalou wouldn't get a game in our reserves.

Salomon Kalou

ARSENAL are on the verge of signing Salomon Kalou from Chelsea.

The Gunners have offered £6million for the 28-year-old Ivory Coast striker - but the Blues are insisting on £8m.

Emirates boss Arsene Wenger is ready to double his weekly wage to £60,000 and has offered him a five-year contract. Kalou rocked Chelsea in February when he said it would be an honour to play for Wenger.

Kalou said: "He is a very great coach and I know that every single player in the world dreams of playing for him.

"I have a lot of respect for him, he is one of the best coaches in the world.

"Arsenal are achieving huge things and watching them play is beautiful."

Chelsea are confident they will complete the signing of £20million-rated AC Milan skipper Andrea Pirlo by next weekend.

Chelsea have had a bid of £14m plus Claudio Pizarro rejected. But Pirlo has told AC he wants to follow Carlo Ancelotti to Stamford Bridge.

This has to be a wind up as Kalou is bloody useless. He'd fit in well at Birmingham or Burnley but not for us thanks.

There are big vibes floating about in the circles that this will be a deal.

I just don't understand what Wenger and the coaching staff are seeing.

I could understand if Kalou was a strapping 6 ft 4 striker but he's much the same of what's here now, not only that I'm just bemused that another striker is coming in when it looks like another defender is on his way out with a possible 3rd defender going aswell (Toure, Sendaros and Eboue)

Hopefully this is just the start of a busy few weeks but no one would be surprised if Wenger just signed Vermaelen and Kalou.

Madness.

Here we go................the usual he is shit nonsense simply because he played for one of our rivals!

In the same way that Gallas, who is obvioulsy our best centre half is mocked, everyone will call this kid shit.

A shadow of his former self Viera returning and it is champagne corks out. A young player who obviously admires our club despite presently being at a rival and he is automatically shit!

As Digger says she is indeed Bea Flora.

Isn't she a beauty and if I may say so well worth showing in the fanzine?

Speaking of tits, don't rate Kalou. If he's not good enough for Chelsea, he's not good enough for the biggest London club either.

Chelsea wanted to keep Gallas, but they wouldn't have got Cole if he wasn't included in the deal.

Sorry but I don't go along with that theory. Just because he cannot get into the Chelsea side it does not mean he is not good enough for us.

Carvalho or Alex will play alongside Terry this season meaning one of them will be left out in the same way Kalou gets left out behind Anelka and Drogba. I think we all agree we could do with a Carvalho and maybe to a lesser extent a Alex but you get my drift.

What we have to remember here is we do not have the huge buying power of our rivals and so we are forced to feed on scraps!

Did anyone actually expect Wenger to spend the full fee received for Adebayor on his replacement?
