Not going to happen. Even if his form hadn't dipped before the injury it would be a massive ask to expect a box-to-box central midfielder to hit the ground running after over 3 months out. Plus I personally think that Ramsey is somebody who thrives when we are playing well rather than being a player who will pick us up when we're playing badly. That's not a shot at his attitude, just an observation of his playing style.

i'm in agreement with you over this one. Living in hope that something miraculous happens and he can provide some magic like we saw at the start of the season. Oh to be an optimist!
I think it will be a bit of a morale-booster to the rest of the team to have him back though, likewise when (or maybe if!) Ozil comes back this season. After Everton we've got a breeze of a run-in and looking at the past two years ending the season strongly isn't unlikely although our current form is poor.

This might not sit right with alot of people on here ,but i couldnt give a fuck if we didnt qualify for the cl,we have been in it for the last 17 yrs and the best we have done in tht time is 1 final.this every year is arsenes get out of jail free card which he fucks up by not finishing top of our group and we end up playing the top teams in the last 16 and exiting the comp.Fa cup is huge for me its a cup tht we can win .

Sits ok with me mate, if its cup or top4 id take cup every time 8) cl has become as predictable as fuck the last few years as you say 17yrs, its le bumhole and his disciples main bragging point  but what have we done in that 17yrs apart from a final and a semi(where we got backskulled)

Fortunately this isn't an episode of Dream Team and we don't have to choose between winning the cup or a spot in the CL. Why not both?

Sits alright with me as well if it is what it takes to get Wenger out. The need to be in the CL to attract top players theory is false. The main ingredient is financial strength, which we have but he doesn't use. You'd be solving two problems if you were able to get a new manager in who is autonomous from Wenger.

Plus, a fall trip to San Sebastián, Salzburg or Parma doesn't sound half bad!

I'l take a point here because I actually do care if we qualify for the Chumpions League .
My reasoning is simple if we fail to qualify we will spend even less than we allready do on building a squad, and our further decline to the next stage of mid table mediocrity will happen sooner rather than later !
It will not as some imagine propel us into Buy Buy Buy mode ,we could and should have spent well and wisely this summer but we didnt !

BUT if we continue to play chicken down the left hand side with Gibbs once again Isolated and exposed like we were in the first half against city ,then Everton and then Wigan will take full advantage !

How can such a glaring defenciency NOT be looked at season after season ?

The same way a lack of decent striker is looked at unfortunately!

I don't actually think that Kroenke and Gazidis would be too bothered if we didn't finish in the Champions League places. As you say they would get away with spending even less than they currently do on the squad.

there are more Europa League matches so more matchday income generated - don't expect that ticket prices will fall, I am sure that the club will charge as much as for the Champions League, and anyway all you lucky season ticket holders will get them included in the price of your season ticket.

Red and white ribbons (or yellow and blue) fluttering in the breeze late on a May evening as the lights glisten off the shiny piece of silver that the Arsenal players show off to their long suffering supporters..or.. six mind numbing games where we fuck up leaving us hanging on for second place in a group that looked won two games previous. followed by a football lesson in the first leg of the first knock out round and subsequently followed by a glorious failure in the second leg..

Actually the FA Cup and Champions league qualification are not mutually exclusive..so I want both..but the Cup more so.

Wenger will be delighted with the way the team showed remarkable consistency and character to finish 4th ("at the start of the season nobody gave us a chance to finish 4th") persuading him to sign a new contract and reward all of the current squad with new long term deals. The wretched old World Cup will then make it impossible for us to sign anyone of note despite working night and day scouting every single player in the world

meh if everton beat us so be it(don't think they will).

Also getting knocked out of the CL season after season, is becoming a bore, although it beats getting knocked out of Europa season after season.

The sad thing is Liverpool will play in the CL and do themselves proud, whilst we will never never ever build a squad to have some semblance of a chance to win it.

Every season there is someone upcoming that challenges us for the virtual trophy but this year is different .
Spurs have been pecking at our heels like a horny rooster but despite spending large they haven’t got it .
Everton are doing well but I still think we will hold them Off.
So far so good you think but not all is what it seems .
As resurgent Liverpool has upset the apple cart in a big way ,they are streets ahead of us and might even win it .
If and it is a big if ,they Pip the money boys the loads of money Duo, will set new records in transfer fees as they and Manchester United gobble up the star names to regain their status.
Don’t think PSG will be holding back either ,World cups do this to the market .

This will leave Wenger again staring at the transfer market like a cuckhold at his wife’s gang bang party, shocked disgusted and refusing to take part ,but unable to look away .

From a purely selfish standpoint a Liverpool win will not be good for us since they will also spend to shore up a leaky defence which is soooooooo mush cheaper than getting quality strikers or midfielders !
