As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

So many fond memories of turning them over at their place and taking the piss out of their lack of history have been replaced by some of our most desperate days in recent times
Mourinho will have spent all week working out how he can exploit our lack of cover down the flanks and once the first one goes in I see nothing other than a comfortable victory for them. Would be amazed if we kept the gap down to 3 goals.
We'll tip tap about for 15 minutes having the bulk of possession.....miss one sitter....before finding ourselves 2 down by half time. Fucking dread this game
No he hasn't because he doesn't have to anymore... He just tells them to play like last year... and year before that... and before that...
I swear to sweet Jesus Ive just had a premonition!
1-0 to us. Possibly a pen won by Dannyboy or a goal by him from open play.
Either way he will cement his place in the hearts of many gooners.
A lot of you *word censored* need to man up ffs, "we're going to get stuffed, bumholed"
It's a fuckin game of football and they do have one of the most expensive squads in world football, if we lose then we lose and I for one will be pissed off but will get over it.....

I think it isn't the losing of the game (although that is extremely painful too) but more the manner of the expected defeat that grates with us all I honestly don't think that our team is much weaker than theirs (except we don't have a genuine quality DM) and I would be confident of getting a result there with this team on sunday IF we had GG or a similarly astute manager - that we could stand (almost) toe to toe with them makes it all the most frustrating when we roll over and take a spanking from these c.unts, so I would suggest that it is the manner of these type of defeats that leads to the level of despair you refer to in your post
This fixture more than any other makes me miss the old days. When the roles were reversed and we were the ones doing the bumholing to those National Front/BNP/UKIP supporting chav *word censored*
I was at the game Wednesday, and thought the movement of the likes of Ozil, Sanchez, and in particular Welbeck was superb, but id question whether we can produce anywhere near the same level of performance. What is it, with Arsenal players going missing in big games? Im expecting Wenger to attempt to play for a draw, but Fabregas will destroy us with his ability to play a through pass, something our leader thought we didnt need back in the summer, when he became available

The difference of course this Sunday is the chav manager will set his team out to nullify our strengths and maximise his own, whereas the GalaTOSSERay coach basically set up like a schoolboy manager and only seemed to realise that and try and correct it after they had conceded 4 goals.
Arsene will tell our lads to just "go play your game" and we'll tippy tappy around with the ball, have a good old chunk of posession but only 4 or 5 shots, get hit 3 or 4 times on the break, and lose 4-0.
Or win 5-2 if Captain Chav or BarcaBoy get sent off.
In recent years Chelsea normally always beat us but come on don't act like we get mauled by them each time. Reading this thread you'd have thought we were turned over 5 and 6 nil every game.
Last season we were missing Ozil, Wilshere and Ramsey (Walcott as well but we won't bother with that one), we were reduced to 10 mean after about 20 minutes - sending off a defender (the wrong fucking player). Although, I fully appreciate we were playing poorly and already 2 down, It wouldn't have finished 6-0 had we had 11 men, no way. Should we have have still lost 6-0? No we shouldn't. I think the players should have taken the majority of the blame but I agree that Wenger set them up poorly - that obviously needs to change. However, they aren't robots and Wenger can't take responsibility for them not being able to hold onto the ball like Cazorla and others in that game. Not when they clearly have the ability to do so.
Compared to last seasons team that played Chelsea you're probably only looking at about 5 players starting that played in that game. Do I have hope for this game? A little bit but nothing like I've had in previous years though. I don't expect a win by any means but I do expect a lot more effort and organisation.

But there in a nutshell is the problem, read the Telegraph piece he hasnt and wont change things- we all hope to goodness that things do change but experience shows it wont.
Wenger should take responsibility in the training sessions for practising/ instilling ball holding, but seems not to from recent evidence, the only time major ball holding occurs is in front of goal when too often afraid/ unwilling to shoot.
Im still wondering whatever Bouldy thinks about it all, his face seldom gives anything away, but he must be livid surely at the repeated mess, absent full backs and poor set ups for set pieces.
The way we play is fundamentally flawed and always has been however in the past we had players that had enough nous to use an adapted form of it .
Under Vierras Captaincy we didn't always play the4 way Wenger wanted which led to many rows between the two!
Since then we haven't had a proper captain and he's played this way .
Despite working 30 years in Football Wenger refuses to concede his way isn't right and unfortunately the players seem to buy into it !
Chelsea and MUFC have dominated us because they soak up the pressure and hit us on a sucker punch every time !
Been looking forward to this one, in a sick self harming way, 8-0 and maybe worse. This will be all gooners most humiliating day in living memory, thanks Wenker, now FUCK OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
