Abou Diaby - Injuries Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I think Diaby is a decent squad player as a secondry dm. I wouldn't want him sold unless we brought another squad player in to replace him and with our injury history, I fear we may lose the players in front of Diaby while Diaby is injured.

A few years ago I thought Diaby looked a fantastic prospect. He was athletic with great technique and as strong as an ox.

I now think that I was obviously hooked on crystal meth at the time and have since come to realise he is the dumbest animal ever to walk the planet.

I actually think he might be, you know.

You can have all the natural talent in the world, but if your brain isn't active then you'll get nowhere.

I just can't believe he's still at Arsenal, and I hope the only reason he wasn't sold this summer is because no one else would touch him as he was about to have surgery.

On a positive note, the players who I was sick to death of watching sabotage Arsenal from within (Almunia, Clichy, Bendtner, Denilson and Eboue) all look to be moving on, so hopefully it's only a matter of time before they're joined by Diaby and Squillaci. 8)

For me Diaby's problems are physical (recurrent injuries) but also psychological (he does not know how to play a decent final ball).

I would sell him.

Diaby wants to repay Wenger

Post by jrthgooner »

This bloke is a joke!! Not a good footballer and very lucky to have a manager who backs him year after year despite poor performances on the odd occasions he is not injured.

He could repay the fans by leaving in the summer and getting us a few million to spend on a better player

This^

Diaby is hopeless. He has been at the Club far too long and achieved far too little - apart from insulting the fans by admitting that he wears a tottingham shirt at home. Get him out and send a few others with him.

Saw some stat the other day that was just unbelieveable. For every goal Diaby has scored for us he's been paid £13m i think it was and has been paid £49k for every minute of football he's played for us.

Fuckin' wage thief!

He could repay Wenger by buying out his own contract and going the hell away.

Or, he could just retire as he will never play at the top level irrespective of his injury record. It must be a nice life to play 10 mins here and there and still be a multi-millionaire.
