The FA Cup Final: The Arsenal v A.Villa

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Sounds like we are being allocated the East End of the stadium this time

But bollocks. If Wenger doesn't gash the team sheet by picking Chesney, we will beat Villa 4-0. €10 going on. 8)

Given our traditional dodgy defending DB10, you'd be best off putting 5 Euros on 4-1 and another 5 Euros on 4-2 (although in the likely case that the pole starts, put another couple on 4-3!!). 8)

Oh don't worry, Hlebby - the 4-0 is the bet I shoot my mouth off about on here! I'll have a couple of back up bets on 4-2 and 3-1.

BT's coverage is starting at five so it's not looking like a 3pm kick off which is a f***ing shame
BTs coverage would be better if it started two hours after kick off.

Without flights? Shower of robbing bastards. :x I'd be careful there BWK tbh. There are a few Dublin travel agents that have fucked over people for cup final tickets over the years, as in you arrive and there's no ticket.

Obviously I'm not accusing Abbey Travel of anything. Obviously.
Abbey are reputable but that price is prohibitive, heard the stories DB, knew lads who were standing in a hotel in Paris with an hour to kick off before the Champions League Final after paying a fortune for the trip while the "travel agent" was shrugging his shoulders saying "what can I do ?" Some tickets did arrive, but not enough and those tickets were in Barca end.

They probably won't show the game now. Instead they'll screen some three hour documentary on old Stampy Meee.

They should have killed him dead. :x

The amount of Oirish Gooners that travelled to Paris both with and without tickets in 06 was incredible. A lot of them obviously had no hope of getting their hands on a ticket but so many of them said things like "I just have to be at least in that city". I had been working on various firestopping jobs in Dublin airport for years and had seen the small (Manure '99) and moderate (Mousers '05) numbers of Oirish fans of those clubs that had flown out for their finals. But in 06 Dublin airport was bollock full of Gooners flying to Paris. Everywhere you looked it was Arsenal jerseys and flags.

Have to say I was proud to be a Gooner that day. 8)

Ya, I went to Paris without a chance in hell of getting a ticket, just had to be there. Booked my flights a couple of weeks ago for the cup final for €26.50, couldn't not book them at that price. Probably haven't a hope in hell of a ticket this time either but I do know a guy that sometimes swings club level tickets so here's hoping.

The FA have said that they get a bigger TV audience for evening ko so I'd say it will be around the 5pm kick off again
