As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Clearly flat chested women need not apply to be a tv presenter in Venezuela
Am I the only person who thinks that the excitement was getting to those girls and that around the 1 minute 18 second mark they were beginning to let "their fingers do the walking " ?
Flicking through the channels tonight and stumbled across the last 10 minutes of our ladies playing Mexico
I have absolutely nothing positive to say - slow, useless goalkeepers, lack of fitness and athleticism. No patronising remarks from me about how much the game has come on......looked every bit as pathetic as the last time I wasted 10 minutes of my life on it about 10 years ago. Total and utter crap.....wouldn't pay 20 pence to watch that shit
I have often wondered where the quality of football played in the womens game would fit into the mens game.
I watched 1 or 2 Conference games last season, and as shit as it was it was still vastly more technically advanced than anything played by women.
I have watched a few games in the ladeez world cup and though I will concede than the standard has improved in terms of fitness and ability over the past 10 years you would have to go way down the pyramid system before you could find an equivalent mens level.

My old clubs youth side played Bristol Academy's strongest side in preseason friendlies a few seasons ago and this bunch of decent 16 year olds (predominantly) thumped them something like 7-0 then 4-0 the next year.
I've actually been to see a WSL game and it is absolute fucking toilet. Conference sides would be sticking 15 on the best women's sides - and it's not just to do with physicality. Technically they are so far behind and the game is played at such a slow pace. Drives me insane when I hear people who have never watched it properly declare that the WSL sides must surely be about League 1 / League 2 standard.
If the real one can overrun the ball, mis-control it at least twice before toe punting a pea roller in off the post......then indeed England's ladies have a mini Messi. What a laugh. I will say that from the snippets I saw only her and Carney looked like they actually control a ball and pass properly

Similarly a good few years back I got asked to play in a supporters' match for my mates' non-league side. The oppo had some supposed 16 year old whizz kid England ladies player out on the wing. Our aging left back, who once played two seasons for Maidstone United and a season at Bromley but now spends most of the season between the chip shop and the pub, didn't give her a kick.
