The Zagreb 2nd goal is the one that will get PL coaches interested.
From Gabriels movement, or rather lack of, you can see how zonal marking is a flawed system.
Before the corner is taken he is goalside of the scorer but when he makes a run Gabriel stands still, and then grabs the next player.
The scorer then has the advantage of momentum as he meets the ball.
This 'pass him on to the next defender' is always going to cause problems.
Jose will be the next to test that out, and you can be sure he will.

Every defeat is an opportunity to respond, you get the feeling Wenger has been dabbling in some half arsed sports psychology.
I think this season will be full of opportunities.

There can be "no cheap excuses" - this will be completely forgotten by FT, and the excuses will flow. Interesting that he has no plans to apologise to the travelling support for the team he put out in Zagreb. How can anyone Support the man, he treats supporters like shit.

Even Martin keown is speaking about our 'deficiences'....

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/34284914

By Martin Keown MOTD pundit

“I was in Zagreb to watch Arsenal's defeat by Dinamo and what disappointed me most was how the players who came into the team under-performed. …………………..it stuck out like a sore thumb that Mikel Arteta and Mathieu Debuchy, in particular, were not up to it. They have not played enough football recently, and they were not equipped for the task. …………………………………….The worst thing about it is that, when you look at the group of players Wenger has got to choose from, Francis Coquelin has now become almost irreplaceable because they do not have anyone else who can do his job as a disciplined defensive midfielder.
Missing out on Morgan Schneiderlin, who joined Manchester United in the summer, looks like a bigger blow now. ………………………What has become obvious is that, no matter who Arsenal are playing, without Coquelin they do not have the necessary balance in midfield.”

............even the loyal ex-players are saying it publicly - and yet Wenger continues along the road of stubborness, Ignorance and DEFEAT.

Apologise?! You're mental breh. He's already basically said that he's going to be doing exactly the same thing again for the LC against Da Spuds! Repeat performance coming...but it's ok because there was nobody available this summer. Any other club would sack him in June for that window. Instead the AST will release another wanky statement about how "84% support him", and our braindead tard element will claim that we have improved through "cohesion".

Keown was a great servant and player but as a Pundit, could not be further up Wenker's scrotum. It's painful. Example: yesterday he wrote a column claiming that if a Chelski team Jose has been in charge of for 3 years, with settled players isn't performing; then the manager HAS to be a huge part of the problem. So far, so fair.

So imagine how hilarious it was to hear him on radio after Zagreb claiming that it's no good looking at the manager, when top quality players are simply not performing! LOL. So which is it Martin eh? :rubchin:

Keown and Henry. Great players. Legends.
But they can go fuck themselves right now. We need them to stand up now and tell it like it is but they are cowardly bastards.

I wonder which Arsenal player(s) will be telling the press today how they will respond against Chelsea.
Every time there is a big game they line up to tell everyone (who bothers to listen) what they intend to do. Why not just show us how good you are?
But not one Chelsea player will be heard, Jose would not stomach it.

Here is my theory of one of Wengers many faults. He believes that a lack of pure ability can be overcome by concentration, hard work, and mental strength.
Does it ever occur to him that if Welling United showed total concentration, worked tirelessly, and had inhuman levels of mental strength they would still struggle to beat Real Madrid.
All those factors get you so far, but ability is the bottom line, and there are too many in our squad that are lacking it.

you can hardly blame them, they care about the club as much as we do but they don't want to be banned from the stadium, plus they are best mates with Wenker, they are in a tight spot, good on them for saying anything at all

The day when Keown and other ex-players come out and say that Wenger is to blame and should go then i will take them seriously.

I most certaintly can and do "blame them". They are media and are part of the reason Wenger gets such an easy ride.
Dress it up any way you like, they are afraid to tell the truth about Wenger and his farcical decisions and are hypocritical cowardly fuckers

Let me think why they are loyal to wenger

:hmmthink: :hmmthink: :hmmthink:

They work at the club and with the club as Wenger as a mentor to get their coaching badges...

I absolutely hate when he comes out post game (like he did wednesday night) and tells people how the opposition were a committed and well organised team........does he not realise that his statement suggests that we were not committed and organised ? There are a load of reasons that I will accept when we lose a game.......a lack of commitment is not one of them
