Scum away (Capital One Cup)

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

No chance. How many times have we been in this position where bad result will supposedly heap insane amounts of pressure on him? No point in even considering what we would benefit from losing this in the long run as the answer is nothing.

Fielding a strong side and giving them a good kicking in a League Cup match won't make an iota of difference to any reasonable person's analysis of his ability to do the job but I fucking hope that's what happens. Not a hope in hell of winning the PL or CL and the fa cup doesn't start for months so no excuse not to put out as strong a team as possible. Although I'd be amazed if he did.
"Fielding a strong side" after last two matches what constitutes a strong side at Arsenal?

Managed to get last minute tickets in a box at the lane for tomorrow. Apparently demand has been stifled for prawn sandwich seats due to the jewish holiday of yom kippur.

Happy days

looking forward to this one.

Crazy that some hope we lose to the scum. I'd suggest we could do the world a favour and put strawberry flavoured arsenic on the windows for them to lick?

Wenger's going nowhere no matter how many we may lose by so to want to Spuds win, in some vain hope it would in any way put Wonger under pressure, is simply demented.

Does bad light stop play at WHL?

:rubchin: :rubchin: :rubchin:

It's not as good as it sounds tbh. The tickets where £60 each for a place in a box with no food or drink. Given that cat A games at the emirates are £60 plus for lower tier, it's not too bad.

I know a gooner behind enemy lines, who works in their hospitality department that did this as a favour. I have been told that three other fans will be in our box prob spuds so we can lob vol au vents at them if they get lairy.

This game is more important and appealing than the "cash cow tournament" game in Zagreb last week. Not that Arsene or Arsenal plc will see it that way. Hate losing to those :censored: .. hate losing to anyone but their celebrations when getting any result against us is over the top. 7-0 to Arsenal ..

Obviously us fans are passionate about this game because its Spurs and because it’s a competition we can win. Spurs fans will feel the same way. Yet the managers of both sides will probably not play their strongest sides.

So how can you feel that passion when the people taking part in it or influencing it don’t really feel the same way?

If we play a weakened team and win, it still shows we were prepared to lose.

Football is so fucked up and twisted these days.

yes its quite sad that in reality Wenger will be focusing on the Leicester City match rather than tonight.

i'm just trying to put all the problems at Arsenal to one side for now and getting pumped up for tonight.
a cup match at the scum, evening match. if you can't get up for this then really there is no point anymore.

Com on Arsenal :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

I do not agree that he will play a second string side tonight - yes he will play ospina, debouchy and gibbs but these are all international footballers so it isnt like the young reserve teams from a few years ago. Obviously arteta or flamoney will replace coquelin but that is an enforced change rather than a decision to rest/rotate players

Have to say that if we were playing anybody else tonight I dont think that I would even watch the game  Beating them as often as possible should always be a priority at the start of a season, and tonight should be no different
