This has got boring 0-0 written all over it

No Bellerin, Walcott or Ox must just about make us the slowest starting XI in the Premier League right now, while they are a bunch of boring draw merchants too.

No doubt there will be some cobblers uttered about defensive stability after the midweek trouncing, but in reality we will just be playing a weaker side with limited ambition. No lessons would have been learned although he'll kid himself they have until the next major test

In terms of best in their position - Cech would be nomimated, Hector and Monreal are right up there with the best in the league and Alexis and Ozil are two world class players.

The problem isn't the first eleven, its the fact they cant stay fit and we have no depth that's hindering us.

Maybe, but I said to forget current form and that would rule some of them out imo 8)

As a footballer I think that ozil is absolutely world class, and you cannot escape the fact that he really is on a hot run of form at the mo, BUT we also have to be honest and admit that he has largely been a disappointment since his arrival :( Tbh I don't think that he would make the best 22 based on his performances since he joined and that is coming from an ozil fan
And under a different, and better manager??? Wenger is a poor manager and probably an even worse, man manager. He plays players out of their natural position, because he always tries to fit people into what he wants, and because of his tight fistedness, he runs our quality players into the ground. I think Ozil would have been outstanding at Chelsea or even City. Wenger abuses players because he always knows best, then when they break down he moans like all these unfair things keep happening to him. I wish he would just GO!!.
Wenger is no way a "poor manager" he is pretty good, not good enough for us nowadays, but to blame Ozils form totally on Wenger is illogical. Ozil honestly didnt play too well for Germany in the WC (Where he was played "out of position- I guess Low is a poor manager as well then) He was sold by Real I assume as they could see he wasnt performing to his best. He had well published personal problems for at least the first season with us. Really dont buy that Ozil would have been any better at Chavs or Citeh, he wouldnt have had regular games for a start. Seems likely that moving more to the middle has helped, but so too has Santi taking a more responsibly defensive position, and Wallys all too brief return to fitness so he had Wally and Alexis to pinpoint passes to run onto.

Fully agree re running players into the ground, it seems more about the lack of preparation/ warming up- we pretty much know that this season with Wally not warmed up V Sheffield, and last season Rambo then Arteta went off injured after a few minutes.

Theres a lot that AWs done wrong, but honestly his record over time rather shows he isnt "poor". Suggest your hatred of him is getting in the way of his overall record- excellent for several years, not good enough now = overall good.
Oh and agree he needs to go, as he isnt good enough.

Not poor?
A selfish, greedy egotistical coward, more interested in persuing his own agend and being hailed as a visionary genius than doing what is right to make Arsenal fulfil their enormous potential.
Not poor? A manager that has zero tactics and plays with no plan b against lesser opposition and the best. Treats us like morons with his disgusting comments.

Wenger has won trophys, yes, but the simple fact that he has held back, not done absolutely everything in his power, went the extra mile to make us the elite club that we should be, with all the support and resources at his disposal makes him a shit manager, not a poor one.

With our two best defenders out I think we'll find it hard to stop them scoring. We've just got to get one more than them & all will be rosy. They have Mason & the Korean fella back from injury so they will have a fair midfield. I hope 2-1 but it could go the other way. Feck 'em anyway.  :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

I have scars on my heart and soul from every time those swamp-dwellers have beaten us at our place.

This is a game that we absolutely, completely and totally CANNOT, MUSTN'T lose!!

Given recent form and current injuries I'm not confident and I'm having palpitations now, just thinking about the game. Please, please beat them.

It's a game when we need AW to leave the dressing room and TA6 to give the team talk.

He is a manager that has zero tactical acumen, is unable to motivate his players, doesn't plan around opposition tactics, continually plays his own players out of position, is unable/unwilling to address glaring weaknesses in his own squad and he is a manager that has lowered the ambitions of the club to the point that players and fans view finishing 4th as success...........is that how you define a good manager ??

Re ozil, can I just say that real Madrid sold him purely because they needed the funds after splashing out on a welsh monkey - there was a lot of frustration and anger in the Madrid squad and the Madrid fans, over his departure so don't view it as him being sold cos of a lack of quality

Ozil, with the right support AND the right strikers to provide for, could be outstanding. How can he put through a slide rule pass for a person like Giroud to run on to?? You can often see his frustration when he looks up....... and there is just nobody. He is wasted at us, so is Sanchez. Why anyone would want to play for Wenger is mind boggling.

The huge wages for bang average players and the knowledge in knowing you will never get a new arsehole torn out of you probably helps.....

Hands up all those who would take a draw now, anything is better than losing at home to the scum.
I dread that we will lose to them after the hammering we got in Munich :(

Nope. They are fucking gormless and uninspiring, and how many league games have we actually lost at the Emirates in nine seasons? If we play to 80% of our capacity we will win the game.
