Swansea H Wed 2nd 1945
Re: Swansea H Wed 2nd 1945
Captain obvious here, but the only way winning this game will have any major significance is if both Spurs and Leicester both lose mid week and don't see that happening. Can't be arsed giving a shit any more at this point.

Pulis wants Leicester to win the league, will his team even try to beat them tomorrow?

I wish that were true - the guy is teflon. Nothing, absolutely nothing sticks to him....he just smirks his way through the pre-game media love ins...and rather than shout ans scream at the players he either sits on his hands or flaps them about like a demnted windmill.....Gunner Rob wrote:We lose this and then at Spurs and Wenger will be under bigger pressure than he has ever faced before
This time last year when the wheels came off - Remember those Gooners calling him names at Lime Street station (?) and the media getting all protective saying he shouldn't be spoken to like that - after all he has done for Arsenal FC....
I have given up on seeing fan pressure oust him...Wenger Will Go When Wenger Says NOT Before. Horribly True...Depressingly Sad....but there it is...He has put himself in such a position of power - By earning Kreonke a nice profit every season at the cost of real success (trophies) he is "Untouchable" - Reminds me of the Power brokers in the city who earn Millions even when their clients go belly up....

A laboured 1-0 win, with sterile domination and a scrappy late winner. It will make little difference come May when we are secure in a top four position.
I truly do fear for us Saturday lunchtime. Their manager knows how to motivate his team and out on the pitch they will be aware of what the game means in terms of rivalry and the league table. We can only hope Wenger pulls out another get out of jail free card, as he seems to do when the pressure is on, because otherwise I doubt there will be a St.Totteringhams day this season!

I don't believe Saturday is anything to do with them knowing about the rivalry. I also don't think that Spurs are anything like the world beaters they are talked up as - they are barely better than usual and probably no better than the days of Bale and Modric.
Pochettino is just one of those managers that seems to have the wood over Wenger. They will just play a simple, disciplined pressing game and know that as always in a North London derby plenty of chances will come. Gone are the days when they would set up to go hell for leather at us and you would always back us because we were a better side. I still believe 100% that we have the better squad but tactically we are stale and haven't been capable of lifting our game for big performances for years. Some of the "there is absolutely no way we will beat [insert average team here] but i would be amazed if we won on Saturday.

I hope Montero isn't playing. Because Bellerin has gone backwards and now he know's he has no competition for the RB spot. Why should he give a shit.
Also i thought he was meant to be super fast. Depay ran him fucking ragged on Sunday.

The weak team that beat us on Sunday would probably lose at home to Swansea. Say No more.

Problem is he has no confidence and his first move in possession is without fail to hesitate. Which completely negates his speedRosie_titters wrote:I hope Montero isn't playing. Because Bellerin has gone backwards and now he know's he has no competition for the RB spot. Why should he give a shit.

Likewise he is so scared of getting skinned he is taking the cowards option and backing off, backing off and giving them all the time in the world to pick out a dangerous pass or cross instead.

Also, their team puts in a shift when they play, same can't be said or ours. That's the difference!Kvltman wrote:A laboured 1-0 win, with sterile domination and a scrappy late winner. It will make little difference come May when we are secure in a top four position.

Re: Swansea H Wed 2nd 1945
Looking at a scrappy, narrow win tonight & a loss on Saturday. Seriously though the way we are playing we might not even win tonight. Wenger is a joke.... and it's the joke, not the hope, that kills you.
Re: Swansea H Wed 2nd 1945
We will scrape a win with Giroud grabbing the winner, and wengerites will use his 1st goal in 10 games as a justification for Wenger not signing a top striker. While Wenger will sprout bullshit about bouncing back, mental strength etc
