I'll correct you both if I may, Roger Schmidt manages Leverkusen, Frank Schmidt manages FC Heidenheim, Martin Schmidt manages Mainz.

Clear as mud

Actually you are both wrong :D

Martin Schmidt manages Mainz. Roger Schmidt manages Leverkusen. Frank Schmidt manages Heidenheim.

I don't think that I would want Frank Schmidt....;-)

Imagine what he could do with more freedom and a massive budget. He's on £4m a year, and we are paying Wenger double that. Think he is a long shot though.

Allegri is a good shout. Tuchel from Dortmund, has got them up there with Bayern playing great football.
Fucking lol

Maybe Wenger does have a point when he goes on about having 30 years experience in football. ^^ This geezer can't even open his eyes apparently
How is that difficult to understand? It's common knowledge to anyone who watches them play regularly. It's called tactical acumen, you know, something Wenger wishes he had.

If competing with the 2 best teams in the world on a shoe string budget, getting the best out of his players, getting them to play with heart and desire, being solid defensively with a good counter attacking style is your definition of shit then sign me up for shit football. In case you've not been paying attention but currently they play better football than we do and have been for a long time.

He would be my first choice although as said is unlikely to come, as he is committed to Atletico. The 'awful' football his team plays is a winning style. I would love to see Arsenal defend solidly against superior opponents with blood, thunder and heat, and then break with ferocious pace to score goals.

Tuchel or Schmidt (the Mainz one  ) would be ideal also, a newer breed of coach who can employs that counter attacking style. Dortmund were often breathtaking against Spurs last week (Although I realise that isn't saying much! :-P )

As someone else said though, be on your Garde as Remi is probably coming :barscarf: :barscarf:

When the time comes, our board our absolutely fucking clueless. How many of them do you think will be aware of the likes of Simeone, Tuchel, Allegri, Unai Emery, Jorge Sampaoli?

They will take one of two easy options:

a) They'll give it to a totally unexperienced, unproven Bergkamp. Because it's an easy call to make, he's a club legend so they know that'll placate many of the sheep at the bowl who would be unlikely to turn on him quickly. In fact, I honestly wouldn't even be surprised if they gave it to Henry.

b) They'll let Arsene pick his replacement. Hell, why not. They let him pick his own boss after all. Arsene will give us Stojkovic or Boro Primorac or some other such nonsense.

I went for Koeman, ideally with DB10 in tow, but I'd also give consideration to Eddie Howe.

And you can guess the rest.
The man even talks like Wenger, and I dont just mean his accent.
It is a nightmare waiting to become our reality.

Jeezzusss...if that happens I'm going back to the drugs.

Great shout..I was thinking the same thing but he wasn't in the list.

Young, plenty of energy, british, and he actually knows tactics even though he hasn't been in football 30+years. :barscarf:

Not voting in this as I believe the real perfect fit is going to Manchester City. Anyway a bigger question may be what kind of post Wenger Arsenal will we have. If , as we hope, Wenger is pushed out then what ?
The atmosphere is toxic and where as I have been aware for a long time about the depth of feeling on here towards Wenger I probably underestimated the passion his support has for him and his reign. I was happy to go along with the notion that these supporters of Wenger were deluded , and too a degree they are but their hatred is as strong as ours and if and when Wenger goes they are going to be on the back of the new man immediately. One of these people went on Twitter saying that we were not careful what we wished for and we have broken the club. That will be the line , lose a game and that will also be the line. The atmosphere will continue to be toxic unless the new manager hits the ground running.
Some have come on here saying they wished Arsenal lose games to hasten the manager's exit, I couldn't do that but can understand the frustrations that leads to it. There will be many who will wish failure on the new manager to prove that AW knew best after all.
To me the only way forward is a complete break with Wenger, no cushy job upstairs or input into choosing his successor. I wouldn't want him airbrushed out of our history because he is a massive part of it almost equally divided into ten good and ten bad years.

1. Most (not all) of these fans are arsene fc supporters and not Arsenal FC supporters, and many will fu.ck off when he goes anyway. When that happens we wont have as divided a fanbase and this in turn will make the atmosphere less toxic

2. I don't expect the club to get it right first time when they appoint a new manager. I am expecting a certain degree of failure when that happens. The difference is though, that when a new manager fucks up the club wont hesitate to sack him where as now wenker would have to drag the queen onto the circle circle of the pitch and anally rape her before they would sack him  Whenever we get rid of the disrespectful w*nker, we will then revert to being run like most football clubs where the manager will be judged by his results and will be susceptible to being sacked like (Rodgers/mcclaren etc) if the results and performances are not acceptable
