Re: FA CUP
Posted on the play off thread about the bond between AFC Wimbledon players and fans after their win at Accrington.. Again it shows how far Premier league players have distanced themselves (maybe not intentionally) from the fans...On the pitch at Accrington a Wimbledon fan tried to take a "selfie" with one of the players, he wasn't able to do it so the player took the phone and showed the fan how to do it..That was plain to see on TV..can you imagine our Theo or Ollie doing that..? The quality might not be great but the connect is heartwarming..

Much as it pains me........
Theo and the Big Ducking German used to do a very stupid chest bump after a win, on one occasion the Big Fcuking Coward was out suspended ? ) so Theo picked a kid out from the crowd, got him onto the pitch , despite jobsworth stewards trying to prevent it and did the chest bump with the kid.
Theo is very polite, very well spoken and very aware of his public image - this however does not excuse his on-pitch efforts which are severely lacking,

Re: FA CUP
It all makes it hit home that there is something crucial missing at the so-called big clubs in english football these days. There is no community spirit at the big grounds anymore. I've had some great days supporting Arsenal but there will never again be a day like the Hibs fans experienced yesterday following a club like Arsenal. The dynamic of our club and its support has been permanently changed and not for the better.
Which is exactly what the club intended, they have deliberately attempted (successfully) to get a new breed of affluent fan in, one who sits in their seat, claps politely, buys overpriced crap without complaining rather than stand and cheer and sing nasty songs about the opposition .
Now it has reached that point they moan that the fans don't back them enough
These new breed fans are so wealthy it doesn't bother them to miss a few matches at £60 a go, so if its a bit cold, or we are playing poorly they give it a swerve and don't bother to sell their seat or pass it on.
Someone should have told them to be careful what they wished for eh ?

On the subject of fans at finals..the Sevilla fans were brilliant after their defeat in Spanish final..
