As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
and fucked 'em up even more than they already were...
Won a trophy with them
The OP did say "as players". But even with his scum manager period accounted for I'd say GG was still very much an Arsenal man as a manager. The scum job he took to rub it in the Board's faces because they scapegoated him on the bung thing - when every other manager was up to the same shit in that era. So I forgave him taking the scum job. GG is Arsenal through and through. Legend.

No one who is through and through Arsenal could manage sp*rs (even winning a trophy with them) whatever the circumstances. Personally i can never forgive him for it and IMO it tarnished his Arsenal rep forever
The sad part is that many of the names mentioned on this thread, have also shown themselves to be majorly disrespectful when it comes to the fans, or rather the fans who aren't supportive of Wenger. Ian Wright is always going to be an Arsenal legend, but I've lost count of the amount of times he has lashed out at fans, with anti-Wenger sentiments. I seen him refer to that guy DT as a bellend, for holding up the "Thanks for the memories" banner. Oddly though, he will criticise the club on his radio show. He seems to think the fan opinions aren't worth hearing.
Going back to the original question on this thread, what does it mean these days? Those players who played last night ... how can they possibly understand what it means when the club's owner and manager do not understand what the club means?
It saddens me to say this but there will be no more Arsenal legends. The last of our those left the club in 2006. Some people may try and make a case for the likes of Koscielny. Or claim that ''Jack is an Arsenal man'' etc. ... but it is desperation really.
Arsenal legends are like the Jedi - all but extinct.

He was hurt. He lashed out. Are you trying to say if your missus stabbed you in the back, you wouldn't go and fuck her sister for revenge?
maybe he didnt realise but the club couldnt give a shit who he managed, Peter Hill-Wood, Ken Friar and David Dein didnt care, the big wigs at the club dont care about the North London derby, we do Graham was enough of a football man to have known this
It was the fans who were hurt by that, Graham is not Arsenal through and through or he couldnt have done it. I would have wished him luck at ANY other club including Leeds but he let himself down badly joining the scum.
Using your example above you wouldnt have an affair with your wifes sister if you knew it wouldnt bother your wife in the slightest but would devastate your kids

So you are saying you'd be up her like a rat up a drainpipe...
I agree it deffo tarnished his rep with us, and I'm sure the club didn't give a flying fuck either way, but I do believe he just lashed out in blind anger.

So we agree he doesnt deserve to be on this list
Never. GG is an Arsenal Legend.
Taking this conversation to its logical Online Gooner conclusion I'm just gonna say;
